At What Point Does One Dive Head-First Into Fraxel Re:pair

Other than the obvious requirements (5 figures on multiple treatments, months of downtime where you have to make up an excuse to leave work, risks of darker skin), when do you really go for it?

I think most people here tried everything, and are either stuck with scars and not doing re:pair due to fear/money/time, but they know deep down that they have no choice but to do it.

In my case I can't do it right now due to having to start work and establish work experience as a new graduate, so I will spend the next year doing dermarolling and dermastamping professionally just so I don't completely waste my time.

I am starting to think that even with the risks of dark skin it is best to jump into re:pair as soon as you have the time and money. I realized that if you are even contemplating re:pair - you probably don't look good enough to live a half-decent life (as a male), so it would be rational to do repair no matter what.

I feel like I locked in prison for life, and I can't get repair for a good year minimum. Probably towards mid-late 2015, if my quality of life doesn't improve in the next 1-2 years. Very scary stuff.

It is painfully obvious that most of us here aren't really living normal lifes, yet we continue to delay the strong treatments that we need badly. Why are most of you holding out on re:pair? As someone who has tried non-ablative fraxel and filler, I know I am wasting my time by not doing re:pair. I have modest hope for needling but I know even if I get improvement from it, I will STILL want re:pair eventually. Even if I am 30 and aged with mild scars, I would STILL want re:pair, and so would all of you. Why not just go for it now/asap?

I think that a lot of people are not getting laser for their scars because of the cost and risk involved. I personally will not try laser because of the risk of burns, fat loss, change in skin texture, further breakouts, etc. A lot of people have had success with things like dermarollers and peels. I'd definitely try one of those routes before Fraxel repair.
