Ipl Experiences?

Has anyone had IPL here and want to share their experiences?

I'm seeing my derm tomorrow and might ask about either IPL (photo rejuvenation, as it's called at this clinic) or possibly Pulsed Dye Laser, or lactic acid peels. I am clearish (still get small blemishes here and there)

What would help fade my gnarly red marks as fast as possible and possibly help on the acne front?

i have had chemical peels and ipl and ipl worked the fastest for me. you have to have multiple passes done on each red mark to get a good result the last time i went the lady went over each mark 10 times but since this is your first one they will start out slow and work their way up with that to make sure your skin can handle it. i have heard that v-beam works well for those red marks too.

I wouldn't be able to comment on IPL experience, but I know chemical peels are more of a gradual thing. Do what you feel is best, there are risks associated with both, but there are also great rewards associated with each of them.

I just had my second treatment about an hour ago. I wasnt expecting much for the first, only to be pleasantly surprised by how well it worked. It takes a couple days before you can assess how well it went but Im expecting good things.

I've had like 5 vbeams and 5 ipls throughout the years to deal with really bad rosacea and kp on my face. It drastically, but temporarily reduced the redness, and not much else. I had no side-effects and I have really sensitive skin.

*As for "temporarily", my rosacea and kp are progressive conditions so the redness came back after about 6 months or so.
