Does anyone think that cheek implants could make scars look more shallow permanently? If you stretch your skin even a little bit, you can tell that the scars look less prominent.

I will probably go for fillers instead because I am of opinion that implants would look terrible as you age, as they do not change over time.

I completely agree with NUman's advice. Cheek implants are more for those that have severe facial degeneration/fat loss (like in some HIV positive people) so it works well for them but I wouldn't undertake such a thing for acne scarring. If you can stretch your scars out to a point where they are less visible then fillers would definitely help to improve the look of your scarring. :) I'm thinking about fillers as my last step after I have seen all the improvement I can get with my skin needling. :)

You can always remove the implants, if they're silicone I believe. If I stretch my skin upward near my cheekbones, the scars along and below my cheekbones become way less noticeable. My scars are all between the two red marks I have on my face (see my gallery).

I think most doctors think cheek implants are obsolete nowadays with the advent of fillers. I personally have seen very few good examples of cheek implants. Everyone always comes out looking operated and unnatural. If I'm reading your question correctly, you seem to have concerns with a loss of volume or hollowness in the cheeks, which can make scarring look worse. This is why scars look worse as you age (loss of volume). For general volumizing you could try something like Sculptra or even fat injections if done correctly.

No fillers don't last for years...even radiesse. But in your case, since you don't have noticeably strong cheekbones, implants will make your scars near your cheekbones much more shallow and they can 'fit' on your face perse. If you got jaw implants, the scars on your jawline will become more shallow as well.

No i don't have any volume loss...I'm only 22 lol. I went to a doc for this last week and he said my cheekbones are too big/defined...Judging from my gallery pic do you guys think so??
