Hi,i wonder what is the best season for laser treatment like fraxel?what about TCA(cross and peel)?

is it necessary to take season and time into consideration for subcision?

i hope that someone here can say somenthing about the time choice for subcision,it doesnt matter?

For any laser work I suggest the fall and winter to minimize sun exposure. I really imagine that would be best for any treatment.

fall and winter make the metabolism slower, will it affect the recovery after treatment?if in spring instead in summer, collagen seems to grow smoothly and fully, what's your idea over it?i'm not sure, just a guess.....

For laser resurfacing

I started mine towards the end of summer; but early spring would do too, especially since I am up in the Northern states. I am planning to go in for another session, my last maybe next Spring to fix things up nicely.

The most important thing is probably sleep and nutrition; both because sleep is when your skin regenerates and it needs good nutrition to do so. Exercise would also help by keeping a healthy circulatory system and increasing your core temperature momentarily.

If you feel the benefits outweigh the risks then by all means do it. For myself, I avoid the sun for at least 3 months following Re:pair, plus recovery is nicer in the cooler weather.

yes,i do agree with you on the importance of sleep and diet,so what genenral diet do you choose during the recovery after laser treatment?you take laser in spring?it doesnt matter?

OK.,avoiding the sun in a span of 3 months' seems difficult,it's really strict?maybe i should quit my job to stay at home.....

Kagulo, avoiding the sun during the fall and winter was easy for me because I work days and it would be dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home. I don't know what information you have on collagen growth so you will have to weigh the importance of each. My first Re:pair was in May, and from my personal experience I would not do it again in the summer months. Recovery was much easier when I did Re:pair in the fall and winter.

ok,thanks for sharing very much,so during the first year how were your scars improving?when did you begin to feel obviously improved after you started the approximate 3-year span of refraxel treatment?

Always winter and fall. You shouldn't have been exposed to too much sun a couple of months before the laser-treatment to avoid white marks on your skin.

The initial improvement was probably 30%. It was 2 non-acne scars that proved to me Re:pair was working. Both were very easy to locate and follow their evolution. What you will find is subtle changes. The scars just start looking better - it is not BANG! they are gone. The mirror is no longer a horrible enemy, but a friend to trace progress. I have a large fixed mirror on the wall, and a hinged mirror on my medicine chest, and I still move the hinged mirror around to check myself out on a daily basis. Like a person with anorexia who still sees themselves as fat, I still view myself as scarred, but the reaction I get from the public tells me a different story. It was after my 2nd Re:pair that I realized the most dramatic improvement, probably to 50%, but it is strange because it was like 50% from my starting point and not a 20% on the first Re:pair. Does that make any sense? Each subsequent Re:pair has resulted in about a 10% improvement. Only a dramatically improved social life has prevented me from continuing having Re:pairs. 2 years since my last Re:pair and I still feel that I am improving. I am older than everybody else here so my next step is a facelift, and I will probably return to Re:pair as a tune up as I age.

thank you so much for your detailed reply, now i'm probably going to try in fall, (i'm the poster but forget my passport of the former account),do you think age can be an ignorable factor for recovery after laser treatment?did you pay much attention to the nutrition in diet during the course of recovery(or advised by doctor)?

Bromelains Benefits

Pineapple juice contains bromelain enzyme which is beneficial in preventing of cough and colds as well as has other therapeutic values. Fibrin which is known as clotting of blood gets broken down into simpler form by bromelain. Bromelain helps in improvement of breathing by thinning mucous in the respiratory region. Taking bromelain properly helps to lessen pain in arthritis. It is also beneficial in inflammatory conditions like acne, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and rosacea. It is also used as immunity booster. Bromelain enzyme has anti-inflammatory, anti-clotting and anti-cancerous properties.
