I AM NOT POSTING THIS AS A SCAR TREATMENT!!!!

Many of us do have treatments, and I just thought you might find this interesting for wound healing.

I was expecting this to be another thread on using regular honey, but this sounds very promising.

I have always wanted to try manuka honey in place of a cleanser - scrap that, get me some super honey! ;)

Quirky Fox, I have no information other than was written in the press release. I thought the healing properties of the Super Honey would be of interest to the members who undergo treatments that require recuperation.

Ive actually read a lot of scientific experiments on honey. They said honey as a cleanser is actually effective because it is very antibacterial. Also, it produces hydrogen peroxide when diluted with water. The hydrogen peroxide produced wont damage the healthy cells too. Lol im convinced so im using raw honey as a cleanser since last 2 weeks.

Also, when raw honey is used to cover a wound, scarring is significantly reduced and honey as a an antibacterial ointment.

Im suprised you posted this cause ive read a lot of your posts. Ive never thought you'd be interested in natural stuff.

I this superhoney better than manuka honey? I hope it isnt as expensive as manuka honey too. :P

Actually I am a huge proponent of Dr. Dean Ornish and the OrnishSpectrum, I just don't adhere to natural cures for acne scars. One has to be careful when defining natural as always better than advancements in medicine. Arsenic is natural, and replacing a hip is unnatural. Everything that is natural is not good for you. Ride the tide of amazing medical advances, but put yourself in the best position for a good life by taking care of yourself naturally. Perhaps scarring can be reduced during the healing process, and that is one of the reasons I posted this thread, but once the scar is healed I see little that natural cures can do to change the scar. The body has no mechanism to reheal what it has already been healed. Your body doesn't care if you have acne scars. The wound is sealed and you are not leaking body fluids so the healing is complete. I found Re:pair to be highly effective in treating scars when everything else failed. Dr. Ornish has done some amazing work, and I have been following him for about 25 years. People will not be young forever, and they should start looking at this doctor NOW!

Lol, i think you misunderstood.

I totally agree with you. Honey cannot reduce scar once finished healing that's why i used the word "wound".

Im not really in need of lasers. My type of scars are not that deep so i am kinda experimenting with dermarollers and mesotherapy.

Also, im young and my scars are also young. About 4 months. So i am really really really hoping they would fill in as some members had. Oh well, i guess i would need to wait for a year before deciding any invasive treatments.

Btw, good website. I think i have a problem with stress management and excercise.

Dr. Ornish is amazing. I believe a person who follows his teaching can avoid most of what are now considered normal decay of the their body. You really have to try the meditations. As for exercise check out "Younger Next Year", the doctor gives excellent explanations of the evolution of the human body, and how the body is set to decay without regular physical activity. http://www.youngernextyear.com/

The object is to quiet the mind. There are many guided meditations on the OrnishSpectrum site or just Google meditation. This is amazing stuff. The Hindus were really on to something with Yoga and meditation. I would suggest you take classes in both, especially if you are stressed.
