Hello, I'm new here. First post. I have developed during this Spring and Summer a nasty itch. Mostly on my arms, wrist and hands and between my fingers. Sometimes my feet and lower legs and toes. I sometimes have hives and sometimes have a fine rash. Both itch miserably.
By the way, I'm a Registered Nurse.
I must also add, prior to this, I had a bout with chiggers that lasted over a month. I'm an avid gardner and I'm out of doors quite a bit. Actually sitting on the yard pulling weeds. Anyway it puzzled me for awhile attempting to diagnose myself, but with help from the internet and friends from the medical field the diagnosis was confirmed. It took a month before the itch went away (they were located between my waist down to my knees, I still have scars from the bites). But now this is different. My skin has become very, very thin over the past few years. I don't know why. I'm on no medication to cause it. Guess it's my genes... I bruise extremely badly, also. ??? why Slapping a mosquito on my arm will leave a bruise. But this itch is driving me crazy. I thought scabies, but I have been around NO ONE with them. However, where do you get them? The internet only says "from close contact from people". Well, where do these people get them????? I see no tunneling. But I itch so bad I draw blood and break the skin. Help......

Welcome Reba - as you know this is an acne forum, so we may not be the best group to help.
But itching and hives would call for a very SHORT treatment with OTC hydrocortisone like 3 days twice a day, very short as your skin is already thinning.
Then I would try to keep it very natural, try some of the oils like Jojoba, Emu, or even pure aloe vera...no preservatives just an essential oil, buy a couple to try and give them a small patch test.
