It's summer in the UK and I am covered in brown marks on my face and areas of white where there is no pigmentation. Is this caused by fraxel that I had done 3 years ago for ice picks and rolling scars? Please see pic. I do have a bit of makeup on.

What can I do to help?

Could you put up a better picture, perhaps? I really can't see at all what you're talking about, your skin just looks fine to me and very pretty. I'm not an expert with fraxel, but I suppose pigmentation issues are a fairly common risk with lasers, although usually just the older fully ablative type. They're not supposed to be common with fraxel, but I really haven't looked into lasers that well yet so can't say. What kind of fraxel did you have, and did the recovery go as expected? Did it help with your scarring? When did the pigmentation issues first start to show?

I don't know if you're looking to treat the pigmentation, but my very inexperienced ideas would be to try hydroquinone for the darker spots and Recell (very expensive!) for the hypopigmentation.

in my opinion you shouldnt have done fraxel for ice pick scars in the first place. it does nothing for them

I'm having a hard time seeing the pigmentation issues. In any case, there's not much you can do for hypo-pigmentation. (I know, I have lots of hypo spots from my picking days.) I've heard that microneedling or Latisse can help a bit but I don't know first hand. The hyper-pigmentation should be easier to treat with topicals, IPL, etc. Good luck!

Sorry the picture is small. Does it just look like acne scarring then rather than specifically pigmentation issues?

Honestly, it's so hard to tell. If you were a picker, it could have definitely cause the hypo-pigmentation.
