Hey guys. I got TCA Cross done by a doctor 2 months ago and unfortunately, the one ice pick that was test spotted got worse. The doctor pressed really hard on the ice pick and immediately afterwards the scar was much deeper in the shape of a toothpick end. It still looks worse than before.

Is the proper technique of TCA Cross to press very hard or to be a bit more gentle in the 'pressing part' of Cross? Maybe the people with bad results pressed too hard; everyone's skin is different. I plan to do it on myself on one scar with the method you guys prescribe. Sorry but I couldn't find much info online about how hard to press. Thanks!

what I did was to apply the acid by a toothpick gently and wait for frosting and I see some improvement in my scar. In addition, you need multiple sessions too see improvement.rolleyes.gif

The technique called CROSS was first described by Lee et al.[5] In this technique a high concentration of TCA is applied focally, by pressing a sharpened wooden applicator hard on the entire depressed area of the ice pick scar.
