My acne is pretty much under control aside from 2 spots recently due to stress/poor diet in the exam period but anyway I have been left with some pretty bad scaring on my cheek and I'm just wondering what type it is, how severe it is and potential treatments for it. Thanks.

Glad you have your active acne under control. That's the most important thing before any of us can look at scar treatments. To me it looks like your scarring is quite moderate/severe but it's mostly isolated, meaning it's not your whole cheek that's involved. Also, I think you have a mixture of boxcar and rolling scars, which are the easier types to treat. I think I can see more boxcar scarring on your temple and on the bone of your cheek, while you have rolling scars on the fleshy part of your cheek.
Lasers, hmmmm no I really wouldn't go there. Your skin tone is so nice I'd hate to see you end up with pigmentation problems. You don't have much in the way of redness either, which is great. I think your answer lies in needles, mwahaha!
You should look into subcision for the deeper rolling scars. You could combine this with a filler, like Restylane, to hold your skin in position while it heals from subcision. Once your scarring is less tethered (after a few rounds of subcision!) the Dermaroller and/or the eDermastamp would be perfect for your skin. I tend to waffle on about the Dermaroller and type way too much. I'll just say that if it weren't for the Dermaroller I don't know what I would have done for my scars. I am more than happy to tell you about the procedure and my results if you're interested though.
Lasers didn't cut it for me and from further research I truly believe they are very "hit and miss". Some, like me, are lucky to get 10% improvement while others have great results. For the money you wind up spending (I spent over $8000) it isn't worth the risk. Similarly, chemical peels are okay for shallower scarring, but again it's a yucky process with somewhat unknown outcomes.
P.S. When I first saw your first pic I was like "hey, this guy reminds me of James Dean!". I didn't even notice your scarring until after that thought.
