In October, I begin my 1 of 5 sessions of Fraxel Laser Resurfacing for my

acne scarring. I simply created this post to ask my fellow members on acne.org

their experience with any type of laser resurfacing. Oh and here is my question rant:

Did it go well? Any advice? When did you begin to see improvement? How bad was

your scarring? Etc, etc. ANY answers relating to this would be highly appreciated.

THANK YOU.

Hi I had fully ablative co2 laser resurfacing full face, under general anesthesitic , approx 4 years ago, fully ablative is the deepest kind and can offer the best results, but also has the most down time and recovery ,I was off work 7 weeks and then was still red for quite a few months after that. I live in the UK and had this done on the nhs as the cost was about 5000.00 pound if done privatly, I had this done 6 months after finishing accutane roaccutane,if I had known how bad the recovery was it might of put me off,I kept a picture diary, I got an 80-90% improvement, but really got better over time as the collagen rebuilds and skin also tightens ,so os anti aging and got rid of the wrinkles I had, don't get me wrong it was scary and a few hiccups along the way,but so worth it x

Hi I had fraxel laser done 4 times. My scars are about 90% gone now. You should remember to always ALWAYS use suncream when doing this (preferably with high spf) because if you dont you can get hyperpigmentation left over. I always wore suncream getting the procedures but I still got little bit of hyperpigmentation which lasted quite a while. Good luck on your treatments :)
