Subcision After Care - Consensus?

I am getting subcision performed on both of my cheeks next week. I have read a lot regarding post care and am still trying to decide what to do. Here are my options.

1. Do nothing - Bruising will last longer than if I had iced it but does this mean better results?

2. Ice the first few days - I have read that this can significantly reduce bruising. Does this also mean less results?

3. Suction Method - This scares me the most since I would have to do it myself. I do not want to mess my face up anymore. I have heard that this can greatly enhance results but also mean a lot more downtime.

Apply antibiotic gel to it for the first 2 days and suction on the 2nd or 3rd day. If you suction you'll get better results and if you don't the scar will reattach faster. It's really not that serious and there's nothing to be afraid of when you're suctioning.

I guess its all relative, because some people have gotten subcutaneous lumps from the suctioning method. So it isnt without concern.
