Hi, this thread is a discussion of whether acne scars look better when your skin is dry. I already am 100% convinced that acne scars look worse after moisturizer, now I'm wondering if dry skin actually makes them appear less pronounced. I'm not talking about super dry skin here just a little dryer than normal.

I know moisturized skin looks the worst.

are you talking about red marks? or indentation?

My face looks best when I don't wash it for 6-8 hours and it has lots of natural oils on it. When it's dry, it feels and looks disgusting

I 2nd This as far as the topic, I don't really have scars but the little ones I do have look better when my skin is dry but that's not good and dry skin causes more breakouts so I moisturize day and night.

I'm talking about indentations, yeah that's what I was leaning towards, I find that the less I wash my face the better it looks. Even when I take showers I wash the rest of my body but don't wash my face, the water is often enough to make your face not appear greasy anymore.

i have boxcar scars and i believe when skin very dry or oily ,scars look more worse ,the other things make scars look worse redness ,tired face after long day and hyperpigmentation ,i prefer also wash my face while i take warm shower ,it's looks more better than normal washing ,maybe that's cuz warm steam !
