I have been talking to two places about using non-alative fractional laser treatments. One estimated 50% by Fraxel 1550, and the other 25%~50% by Starlux 1540.
I have asked them how the percentage is measured? They seemed to avoid explaining it to me, by saying these are used in research papers, and I didn't look like being able to understand.
According to one place, I have some ice pick scars and rolling scars. Is the precentage meaning the ratio of the number of scars that will become unnoticeable, or the average change of the depths of the scars before and after treatment, or something else?

I think trying to figure out percentage of improvement is pseudoscience at best. I guess you can try to take some measurements of the length, width, and depth of your scars before and after but I've never read or heard that being done by anyone. I think it's generally used as a perception of how bad the scar looks compared to before treatment.
