Tca Peel

I'm thinking of trying the TCA peel after reading the reviews about it. I won't apply it to my entire face, just on problem area. I tried treating my scars naturally with Aloe vera fresh and MSM lotion with no success. Well, I did see a small improvement. Is TCA peel a bad chemical? I am trying not to apply chemicals to my skin. Is it as bad as BP ? ^^;; I do have a few pictures on my album showing my scars.. not sure if they are bad enough to try this peel.

Peels typically don't work on indented scaring, especially deep. If you're treating redmarks, you should start with a light tca or even a light glycolic peel if they're not that bad as you say, and you want to see improvement

Thanks! I saw a 12% TCA peel, is that fine? What about salicylic acid 20%? Yeah, I have red marks that are taking so long to heal. I do have some deep scarring, not really deep.. it isn't that bad. I want to get rid of it though or at least minimize it. I saw the 30% Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel for only $13. Will it minimize scarring or is it only good for marks? It is much cheaper than TCA peel.

I'm gonna take a picture today of my scars and post it and see if it worth it to do the peeling. I will listen to you people. If you people think that my scars aren't that bad.. then I won't try the peeling.

Pictures would be great. Tca is probably a bit harsher than salicylic. As long as your under 30% you're safe. You always want to start low. I hear glycolic or salicylic works good on marks, and clearing your pores. Tca as well, just slightly harsher. Harsher isn't better if you're not sure what you're getting yourself into, and you don't want to aggravate your skin.

As for scars, let me explain. Red marks aren't scars. Spots that aren't a different texture than surrounding skin, but a different color aren't scars. They are called postinflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Scars however can have hyperpigmentation, which can be helped with peels. But scars are a lot tougher to treat because there's more of a deep physical change. At best you may soften edges over time. Its a little disheartening, but they can't be fixed with a simple peel.

I once that they could be peeled away, especially the shallow ones. But a peel in my mind is similar to a sunburn. Your skin peels, your scars stay the same.

Good luck doll, and tell me how it goes!

I do have deep scars. They aren't that deep, but enough to stay that way for long. I think that once these dark red marks fade.. it will look much better. So I guess I will treat these red marks with Either salicylic or glycolic. I might stick with aloe vera fresh and MSM lotion. I saw MSM lotion is good for scars.

Yes, it should help with your color marks. And aloe is a good natural treatment. Ive used cocobutter as well. Just find what suits your skin and doesn't irritate it. Massaging lotion into your scars helps soften them and break up the tissue over time. If your acne is cleared up you can look into the dermaroller to help with your scarring.

OK so I am about to order Rolling Scars and the Salicylic Acid 20% peeling. Are these fine or will I waste money?

I don't think you should peel for skin by yourself, it might make it worse... Be careful where you purchase peels, too. Good luck!

I've decided to use the Derma roller which I see a little improvement, especially the redness. The chemical peel will be my last resort, so I hope the derma roller works.

This is my newest picture, after using the dermaroller for 3 days, I've seen a lot of improvements, especially my red marks.. they almost faded! It is unbelievable. I wish I knew about this roller a long time ago. 35l902c.jpg
