Anyone know the best way to treat this problem? Had your own personal success?

Usually the best way to treat ice pick is TCA cross. Haven't had it done myself but recommend looking into Dr Sam Lam in texas for TCA; he's very experienced in that.

When you say "filled pores" what do you mean exactly? Clogged pores/blackheads?

I am too far away from Texas. I mean clogged pores/back heads, maybe more so clogged pores because I've used exfoiliator a lot and it's never changed. Even if I do empty it, it replaces fast.

Ahhh, the pesky blackhead. biggrin.png Okay, you really need three things, a good cleanser, an exfoliator at night and something to turn your skin over faster at the cellular level.

My advice is to cleanse your skin at night and then use a gentle scrub every second night whilst in the shower. Never wash your face in hot water. The water should be luke-warm. Don't believe the bullcrap about your pores opening up when you put hot water on your skin then closing when you put cold water on your skin. It's bogus. You want to use luke-warm water so that you do not strip too much natural oil from your skin. Otherwise your skin will go into an oil producing frenzy to counter this.

Before bed, pop on something containing Vitamin A (you could use Steiva-a for a starter). Don't put too much on as it will take your skin a while to get used to it. If irritation, dryness or redness occur then only use it every second night and only a very thin layer.

In the morning always use a water-based sunscreen and one that is not going to clog your pores.

Whatever you do, don't squeeze the blackheads out! If you have a few particularly stubborn ones you can have them safely removed by an esthetician or a beautician in a clean environment.

There is also something awesome called the Clarisonic ( http://www.clarisonic.com ) which may help you. I use mine once every three nights and my scrub every night in between. I went to my beautician for a microderm a few weeks back and asked her to seek and destroy any blackheads. I think she found one where before I started my regime she would be going to town on my face.

Also, this is a long term commitment. :) No stopping a good skin care regime unless you want your crappy skin to come back.

Hope this helps!
