julyseven i also have something similar to what your describing. It's a remnant from a huge cyst I had way back and its the only bump on my nose that has pores. I think there is some kind of cystic growth deep in the tissue where the original cyst was and it has started to protrude and cause a bump to appear whereas my other bumps may be more hypertrophic/enlarged glands.
I've seen many uninformed docs who have no experience with this and the latest one just concluded that its just sebacious hyperplasia along with the other bumps on my nose even though I can feel its much harder and deeper than the others. It's unnerving to have this and all I want to do is yank it out.
ps does it cause pain for you sometimes and can you sometimes feel a heartbeat from it? Mine has been hurting awhile and I can even sense that its been enlarging. Not sure what to do.
did you ever have a cortisone shot on the bump? If I was you I would not have it excisioned, there's not alot of skin there and it'll heal badly because of it. Now that being said, I think you could excision the scar and apply ECM to it and hope it regerates new healthy skin tissue.

All I can say is i haven't found anything. all i can do is leave some shampoo while showering on it to make it temporarely smaller (i think it removes some sebum).
Have you tried sulfur? If it is/was a cystic acne, sulfur may reduce the size considerably. You might want to try Adult Acnomel (8% sulfur). It's only about $10 and worth a try.
JMO, derms don't know everything. I had to figure out my own solutions after spending a lot of money on derms.

damn dude i have the same problem but i cant belive that there is nothing to do for it cuz this shit is pissing me of its messing with my social life. I saw your photobucket picture and its exactly the same size and same thing as yours.About two years ago when i was 16 i popped two big cyst pimples on my nose resulting in this kind of scarring they get me so mad cuz nothing works its like there inside the skin.hey i also took ur picture if u dont mind cuz i have it in the same exact place as you so i took it for show on my gallery to show dan what i have. im hesitant to post for sake of jinxing or w/e but i am scheduled for smoothbeam and steroid treatment with dr hong in canada. He right away suggested that I have sebacious hyperplasia (enlarged oil glands where oil is trapped) and said that he had helped people with it before. He seemed undaunted to treat me because of my asian skin and went on to say that id be grateful with the results. he was very optimistic and reassuring which I honestly needed. Ive been really hopeful this week but still weary. its a step i feel i need to take tho cause the other option is hiding even longer...and i cant that.
its been an exhausting journey and im still not 100% clear on what is happening with my nose. I first thought they were scars, then sebaceous hyperplasia, then rhinophyma, now i even feel it may be all of the above. Im hoping for the best and am ready to get over this.
ps ive been taking anti anxiety meds to try to combat my inflammation (cheeks, nose, throat) when I get stressed. The doc even said I could have early stages of rhinophyma but that he also had lasers to treat the vascular issues with inflammation. we'll see.
I once had something like this before twice first time thed surgeon did a shave excision which left a slight scar, cosmetically acceptable and I never notice It. The second time a different surgeon without my full knowledge because I assumed it would be the same did a fucking full fusiform excision leaving a slight depressed scar, bastard. It was definitely not needed. If you decide to do it get it shaved off and make sure is small. All surgeon will treat this like cancer. Alternately, you van get cortisol injection to reduce the raise but this can leave a depression if he injects too much

Just wondering, was that thing on your nose?
hey, long story short I had the laser 3 times now with injections and overall the biggest improvement was after the first laser. The bumps are overall still there but they are no longer white for the moment and they seem to have decreased in size.
Im going to try further injections and move on with life. In the future I may look into ablative lasers or ipl.
