So ive heard that olive oil is a good natural way to lighten up scars from bad acne. Id like to try it out. im currently following the regimen through store purchased products that fall within the regimen guidelines, and as it is somewhat slow it is improving and that alone is a huge change for me. But now that some of the active acne is clearing up I still have many acne scars (if you see my pictures) mostly around my jaw line area and temples of my forehead. I was curious how to go about applying olive oil to the dark spots within the regimen to have the best chance at helping lighten those up without interfereing with my facial regimen.
Any advise appreciated, Thanks!
Hey! I've heard that too but i've been using coconut oil to get rid of my acne and its lightening the scars too! I cant believe iv tried to many products for years and turns out coconut oil is the cure..for me anyways. But if you google "coconut oil on acne reviews" you'll see its helped A LOT of people. For scars too! You could give it a try? i put it on at night. i rinse my face with hot water and then use it as a cleanser (or whatever you use as a cleanser) and then i rinse it off, dry my face gently and then put some on as a moisturizer! & then go to bed, wake up and repeat! But make sure if you do decide to use it you get the organic, extra virgin, unrefined one!!...any other and you will prob break out like other people who made that mistake. the brands really do matter i find. The Nutiva brand is the best!! but if you see any signs of it making you break out then i wouldnt continue lol especially if you're making progress getting your skin under control=)
Best thing for hyper-pigmentation is a natural toner used twice a day with the following recipe:
1 part glycerin
2 parts apple cider vinegar (organic)
4 parts cooled green tea
5 drops of jojoba oil
Lasts about a week (2 at most) and should be shaken before each use to mix the jojoba oil into it.
It's moisturising, non drying and significantly reduced my hyper-pigmentation within a month.
