I used to have pimples on my forehead as a teen and destroyed my skin with chemicals since then Im in my late 20s now. I wish I had just left it alone anyways I should just focus with what I have now.
I started wearing makeup regularly since last year I broke out a bit and I have red hyperpigmentation left (few). Ive now thrown out all makeup and skincare. My skin barrier is completely damaged from all the washing, makeup, natural remedies etc. the are I mostly concentrated on was my cheeks so now theyre pink and have visible pores (orange peel) and feels raw. The rest of my skin is regular colour and normal skin.
Im never going to use anything on my face again (other than mineral makeup on occasions where I have no choice but to). I want my skin to build back up without me basically scraping the top off with makeup, washing etc.
Im going to wash with water here and there when I feel like it. Basically just have the water run over my face no physical irritation.
Started Aug 27, 2023 and as of today my skin is flaky and dry (even tho I used to be oily) my cheeks are forming red scabs? (Hard skin) its itchy and burning. My chin/jaw area theres white things sticking out of my pores and also flaky. Not going to pick at my skin and leave it. Only going to wash gently with water sometimes and dab dry with towel and will not rub the skin off with hands or towel.
from my research Ive seen it takes 3 months minimum. So Im going to keep a log for three months and see how it goes. I just want to build my skin barrier back up I dont care about the pimples or hyperpigmentation I have (its not that much anyways). I just want my face to not physically hurt and for it to not look sick (inflamed?) like it always does.
