Hi guys! Today, I've decided to try the water only regimen for a month.

I really dont get lots of acne these past months, just some white heads that usually dry up easily and occational inflammed acne But, recently I've been irritating my face by overwashing and picking at it, and using too many different over the counter products. The result: red, oily and irritated skin and some acne.

I started this thread to help me stick with the regimen.

My plans
Washing my face with just clean distilled water twice a day.
Use a mild cleanser every after 3 days to remove dead skin cells.
I wont use anything in my face.
I will not look in the mirror.
I will not touch my face if not necessary.
I will not go outside to avoid uv rays exposure unless I really had to. I will just cover my face with clean cloth

Here are some pics.

I had the worst acne breakout last January, thanks to overusing of benzoyl peroxide (I tend to overuse products believing that it will work better, but Im wrong!)

Here are pics after 4 months. After suffering from acne for 10 years I finally managed to control them!

Here are my pics today after washing my face. I dont know why my face is more white compare to the pictures taken last month as Im sure it is more red and irritated today. Maybe it is just the lighting.

Hi Zaac congrats on getting clear skin! How long did you use BP before stopping? I am currently experiencing a break out like you because of quitting BP (I've been on it for 4 years) would you say the caveman regimen that helps you clear your skin? Cheers!

I just used it for a month, then stopped due to the redness and irritation. Then a week later i broke out like crazy!!! I used antibiotics, clindamycin and mandelic malic to clear the break out, but it left me with super oily and irritated skin. No, the caveman regimen didnt work for me. Im currently on accutane 10g per day for the oilyness.

I have decided but to start this today, because i realized when i went to a festival last august myvskin cleared up significantly and i wasnt using a thing at all on it, maybe a little water.
I am just wondering, when you first started was your face redder than usual? Or is this just me? Also, is my face supposed to feel a little itchy?
