Hi, when I started the regimen my acne was not too bad. However, I did get really big nodules every month that took ages to go away and always left red marks. I started the regimen in fall of 2013 and used it until winter 2014 when I decided to make a change. I weened myself off of benzoyl peroxide over the course of two weeks. At this point my skin looked like this and hadn't changed much in the last month or so. After about three weeks of doing absolutely nothing to my skin (the caveman regimen). I had a small breakout. I didn't freak out and figured it was just my skin adjusting. Less than a week later I noticed a few big nodules forming, and I immediately regretted doing this. I started the acne.org regimen again at this point. A couple weeks later things were getting bad and I went to see my doctor. He prescribed me Minocycline pills and Tretinoin gel. I continued with the regimen but substituted my nightly BP for the gel. The next month was hell as my face continued to break out until the Minocycline started helping the inflammation. I continued this regimen as my skin started healing. As of today (Nearly five months later) my skin looks like this. I'm still a long way from where I started but it is improving, slowly. I don't know what will happen when I eventually stop taking the Minocycline as it's not a good idea to be on antibiotics for a long time (I do take a probiotic). If anyone has experience with the drug and its long term effects please share.

Please be careful with drastic changes in your regimen. Trying the caveman regimen might seem idiotic to some, but at the time I was sick of having to do the regimen every morning and night for a year, while my skin still wasn't completely clear. I never expected the result to be this bad. If you do decide to stop using BP two weeks is not enough time to ween yourself off of it.
