Unless you have severe, widespread, and scarring acne, The Regimen is normally my suggestion for the most effective acne treatment.

Ok, so for a little background, I joined this website out of curiosity because whenever I googled something about acne this forum shot up and I decided to join! Best decision of my life! I found products that cleared me up such as The Regimen, and has a great support system. I was 14 years old when I first got acne. I used to joke with my friends that had a pimple or two back in grade 9 all for fun and games. Until one day I had a huge breakout and was covered in acne and wrecked my self confidence and it hasn't been the same since. As many acne sufferers, I tended to stay at home during big events such as parties and what not because I was self-conscience about my face. Even today I am still self-conscience about the redness left behind about my right and left cheeks. Although people say its barely noticeable, I want to break the mirror some times sad.png. Today I am 17 years old and 95% clear (2 small pimples on my cheeks by mouth). I was always intrigued by Retin-A and wanted to give it a shot to see if it would really help my face go from clear to perfect. I still have some PIH and small scars, and I hope that Retin-A will fade these. I will try to update this log every week or so depending on how busy my life becomes and if I have time! I have devised a Regimen that I plan on sticking too until my full treatment is complete. Although, I plan on using the Retin-A CREAM tube up while my skin gets used to the drug, then I plan on switching to the more potent gel for further results once my skin can handle it. I am mainly using the tretinoid to smooth out my complexion and hopefully fade the hyperpigmentation

My Regimen:

AM:

Gentle Facial Cleanser (Exact Brand from Extra Food)

Benzaclin Gel (5% BP and 1% Clindamycin)

Moisturize with 1/3 AHA, and 2/3 Cetaphil Moisturizer

PM:

Gentle Facial Cleanser

Retin A 0.025% Cream

Alright so its been a week since I have been on this cream. Used every night so far with a pea sized amount. No IB as I am using it mainly for skin texture as my acne is gone. Wow...Its been rough so far. Peeling chin with crusty face with a texture like leather. Thank god for moisturizer and lots of it. I know that this is a side effect of the first week or two's usage of it as my skin is not used to it. Dont worry I am not quitting yet I plan on sticking it through =)
