So it turns out the best thing I could ever do for my skin is...nothing. apparently I have been irrating my skin with all the chemicals and stuff in face washing and astirgent I mainly used biore which worked at first then i just decided to stop doing my regiment and now my skin is fine so all the stuff that was suppose to get rid of my acne ended up causing it. so everything is fine now in a day or two im gonna use this lotion that gets rid of slight marks then thats it.

There have been a few years, say 2-3, in my last 13 years of having acne, where I haven't done anything other than wash my face with the (overpriced) purpose bar and taken a multivitiamin. My skin wasn't perfect, and oily as all get out, but it wasn't terrible by any means. I think that if all else fails, I would rather just live life with moderate acne untreated than to use the cocktail of overpriced junk that is offered at the supermarket.

I rarely walk by the skincare isle anymore. So much trash! All of it brightly colored to catch the eyes of the newbie acne sufferer. Makes me nauseous. And so much of it loaded with chemicals, oils, and other pore clogging ingredients. Very few acne products have the label non-comedogenic, because very few people really know what that means.

I know that some of it works for some people, which is great. For me though, I am taking a minimal approach to acne in 2014. Aside from my recent PDT which seems to be working well, I am no longer going to invest huge sums of money into treating it (other than one topical [Aczone]).
