Hey man, sorry for not replying earlier, I've been up the walls with exams and study! Done tomorrow though :P Great fucking news man, delighted your acne is cooling down and you can start concentrating totally on those red marks. Yes, I still use Sudocrem. It's pretty good man. It dries out existing acne and it slowly heals red marks...I've been applying it on my face every night for the last few months minus a few drunk nights :D I'd definitely recommend some topical zinc product, but be careful, it can be pretty clogging if you overdue it with the application!

Thanks for the support bro, same to you. I'm noticing more improvements this week! I've got to thank that dude up above who told me to leave H&S on longer. It's killing my pimples so fast and heals them quicker. I've also noticed my red marks are less noticeable :) so things seem to be looking up. So RedPatrick if you read this, thanks a fucking million man :D I really appreciate it!

Good luck man, keep us posted!

Day 10: Apologies for not updating with the last few days, I've been busy with school and stuff. Still doing the same regimen except on recommendation of RedPatrick I'm now leaving H&S sit on my skin for 5 minutes, then I rinse and wash off as normal. He said 15 mins but I'm gonna slowly build it up! So thanks again man for that :P Pimples are healing faster and I haven't got a serious pimple since late last week. Things are looking up for sure. Fingers crossed I guess...

Don't bother with sudocream. The H&S will fix the red marks very fast on it's own. Sudo may be comedogenic - very slightly. I would avoid for the time being and see how it goes with H&S alone.

I'm happy for ya man. Best of luck!

dang im really considering trying head and shoulders on my face again lol

just to give my face even more cleansing. im still getting small red bups STILL i thought finacea would prevent them but its not.. and hibiclens gets rid of those inflamed looking huge bumps but i still have these raised bumps on my skin that dont have a head or anything just patches of red that feel like acne its very very annoying to know that hibiclens nor finacea has made these bumps go away.....mayb h&s will.. i really think i broke out in whiteheads the first time i tried it though i honestly cant remember.

Day 12: Ahhhh the weekend! Time to relax for the first weekend it ages :) Skin is doing pretty good, STILL I haven't got a proper pimple since like this time last week, one whitehead at present. Some big ass spots that are now flat, pinky and healing...red marks seem the same but they've improved this week for sure. So yeah this new method seems to be working good :D Have a good weekend everyone!

Be careful not to overcleanse man!! All your hard work could blow up in smoke...I'm not pushing anything on you but maybe you could alternate between Hibiclens and H&S every second day or something...be sure to test H&S on a small area if you do start using it, it might give you an IB (I can't remember did I tbh) although I know you test out every product first on a small area! smile.png it's really up to you man, I've definitely noticed and improvement with leaving it sit...although my skin is getting a bit drier than I would like. And hell I'm not using moisturizer, I'd rather dry skin than spots biggrin.png make sure it's the Classic Clean version you're using if you're doing this...and make sure it has no conditioner and ish...ask me if you've any questions about it! Atm I wet my face with warmish water, make sure my hands are clean, squeeze out a half teaspoon or so of it, lather a little in my hands, rub everywhere except my forehead because I never get spots there, leave sit for five mins. Rinse off really well with warm water and splash with cold water. Oh and let air dry of course wink.png

Dry skin? Ahhh.

try and apply the H&S without wetting your face first. Just apply the H&S to dry or oily skin, and let it sit. Then rinse off and let the skin dry on it's own. No patting dry or anything like that. If you feel that the pimples are ready to be extracted, then go ahead and extract them because trust me, they will heal much faster without the pus in them. H&S literally heals the skin overnight when you get rid of the pus.

2 days ago I had a pore that looked very normal, it wasn't even inflamed or clogged, but I think I saw sebum in it. I just gave it a light queeze, and Boom! A s***load of sebum/pus just came out. lmao. My pore started to bleed a little, so I waited an hour before applying H&S. I wake up the next day, and I see the pore has healed. H&S is miracle.

Ah thanks for the tip man!! Yes! I do the same thing, just the other day I'd a sore as fuck spot under my jaw and I saw the head so I popped it, squeeze the gunk out, did my H&S that night and now two days later it's painless, flat, and the red mark is going :) couldn't be happier!

Day 13: No new acne to report still, this is great!! This new alteration to my regimen is working great :)

No new acne eh?

Man, this is a revolution! H&S prevents acne = acne cure. Why don't we spread the word and get other people to try it out and then give feedback?

Funny thing, most people want to treat the acne after it appears. They treat their acne, and new ones appear. The old acne is treated, and clears up, but the new acne is still there. Their acne cycle continues. I think to myself: "Why not just start preventing new acne when you see the acne appearing in the first place, that way, when the old acne breakout is over, you will be acne free."

DKR vs H&S, hmmm. Which is better? I haven't tried DKR, and benzoyl peroxide doesn't work well with Retin A and pigmentation. H&S is the only thing that actually works - if used properly.

You seriously could be onto something there man....I know you said I'd need that Nizoracic (wrong spelling I know ha) to prevent my acne but so far H&S is doing that too...it's easy to use, cheap and the bottle lasts ages, smells great, has a pH of 6-7 and it overall is pretty harmless. Like I've never got irritation with it, a small bit of dryness thats it. Seriously I'd definitely recommend this stuff to anyone who has acne thats relatively bad...I've never used BP ever so I can't vouch for that but I heard you need moisturizer with it, and I'm never using moisturizer again on acne after it broke me out like a bitch last summer...

Day 14: Hey everyone! I've got one tiny pimple on my neck but I'm pretty sure it's a shaving bump! And besides that skin is the same as yesterday :) great stuff I must say...

retin a works by messing wiht the layers of your skin thought by thinning or thickening i cant member which one which is why almost 90% of people have a terrible IB from retin a. im using finacea which is an occruing acid 15% very similar to those peels you were talking about before except you leave finacea on all day and night everyday ive been on it for a little over two weeks it has faded my marks to an xtent but they are not fully dissapeared yet. ive heard great things around 2-3 weeks and 4 weeks on it. so in a few days i will be at 3 weeks. i really hope that my redmarks start to completely go by then.. also i have a derm appt this tuesday i dont really want to get an antibiotic becuase of the resistance it can cause plus i dont want to try any topicals because i hate the feeling of leaving something on my face i was very skeptical about finacea but just went with my gut. it sucks cause im still getting tiny breakouts even 2 1/2 weeks into finacea idk if it will ever prevent acne. though i havent been on it long enough i guess.

im glad that things are still going good for you the comeup i almost tried h&s again but said eh screw it ill just stick with my regimen for atleast 4 weeks and then decide lol the only bad thing is the fact that i know the derm is going to prescrive some antibiotics that may interfere with my regimen and i dont want an ib and get mad at all the time ive spent with finacea.. ugh i hate acne man i just wish i would have my clear skin i used to have and never have to worry about it again..

So I also tried H&S for the first time today. It made my face a tiny bit dry, so I'm probably just gonna stick to using it once a day.

Actually you're right. I'm not gonna ruin my nearly 2 month streak of not doing anything (besides splashing with water). I was just tempted to try out H&S because my acne seems a lot like mild seborrheic dermatitis. But it's getting better anyway, so it's not worth risking it...

Day 16: Okay so I've one nasty pimple my moustache line, and I feel like a few more forming on my jawline but it could be just me thinking that....H&S is still working very well for me though. I thought my stress was gone for a bit but this week has been very stressful too...eh whatever, it could be causing a few pimples but I dunno

Oh and just to add something else. A red mark is starting to surface atm....I've been waiting for this to happen with days but it's putting me down a bit seeing I've been clearing up great with no breakouts with the best part of a week. Got like 3-5 pimples atm (including ones that are just emerging)...

Use your H&S 3 times a day. Leave it on longer in the evening since sebum production increases at night. Androgens circulating in your system take around 12 hours to bind, it takes another few hours for the androgen to exert it's effects. Androgens are released during REM sleep.

Bro are you exfoliating? H&S slows down the rate of kertinization, might want to exfoliate to keep those pores clean to let the H&S reach deeper.

I think not wetting your face prior to applying H&S has caused those new breakouts? Hmmm, wet your face and see what happens. If your face drys out too much, maybe it's time you got a non-comedogenic moisturiser? I really don't know what could be causing those new breakouts.

H&S is supposed to prevent new breakouts. Damnit.

Yes I am indeed exfoliating. It's once a week now, before it was every day. I think I might bring it up to twice a week though, have noticed a little build up of dead skin...I don't use any moisturizer at all. Bad experience last summer, never again! Thanks for the advise man :)

Day 17: No new breakouts to report, and the existing ones are healing pretty fast!! I have noticed though in the last few days I've these tiny flat hardish white spots just below my bottom lip. They're kind of sore. I popped a few and they look normal now...but it's kind of a worrying sight. All good besides that :) oh and I just shaved and atm my skin looks great! I remember the days I used hate shaving haha...

hey bro so i noticed in the mirror after my showers(since we dont pat dry anymore) when my face is a bit damp still and in air drying mode i can see a layer of nasty white dead skin where i apply my finacea.. but when im dry this goes away. i never really noticed how bad it was before because it was dried up by the time i aplied my topical in the mirror. do you think i need to exfoliate? im thinking of getting a baby brush and gently exfoliating its pretty much the same exact thing as your tooth brush method. anyone i was curious how many times do you do this again? and also about how many swipes do you do over on spot? im thinking of starting out once a day just to get rid of all the skin then ill do it maybe 3 times a week. it think this will help ALOT with applying my finacea and get it to soak in more. i used a cotton round tonight to rub off some dead skin in the shower and i could tell it really did help slightly but not much. im thinking im going to need that baby brush.

Ahhh. that happens to me too. Wait for your face to dry, then apply what you want. I dunno how to remove dead skin cells from the surface without aggravating the skin. Perhaps using your fingertips to gently rub the flaking areas after steaming/washing face would work. AHAs only increase flaking of skin, as does Retin A. Normally I wait for my skin to shed on it's own, but I want to remove the dead skin cells before they end up clogging pores. I mean, the cells are just sitting there, dead. Last time I tried to remove the skin cells with a face towel and I ended up scrubbing too much. Seriously damaged skin and was red for a good 24 hours. H&S helped the skin heal faster.

Hey man, yes you should definitely exfoliate. I'm not into those chemical exfoliaters and I still use my toothbrush haha. Well for ages I was using it every day, then reduced it down to every other day and now it's like twice a week. I did it on Tuesday night this week and thats it so far. I'll do it again either tonight or tomorrow. And then maybe sunday again just for school on monday...what I do is apply my Head And Shoulders, let it sit for a 5 mins...then soften the bristles with roasting water and VERY lightly brush my face in small little circles similar to how a dentist tells us how to brush our teeth. I might stay on one spot for 5 seconds max. Also I wet the brush after every two "brushes" to wash away the dead skin off the brush. I find it easier to do this with a cleanser on the skin because theres less chance for irratation but just plain water is fine too I'm sure. After, I just wash off my face similar to how I would if I just had H&S on it...good luck with it man, it's full proof if you ask me as long as you don't brush the hell out of your face! :)

haha thanks for that bro ive been using cotton rounds in the shower pretty much the same way with my cleanser on face and then rubbing the cotton rounds in crcles on top of the cleanser and its WORKING i looked in the mirror after my shower and no more dead skin. plus when i wait for my face to air dry to apply finacea usualy my face is really stiff and you can see flakes. not any more. so im positive this worked! i may just stick with these cotton rounds. although i may need the toothbrush for some areas because i can see just one or two places tha i always miss they leave tiny little patches of dry skin not bad at all though. ive done it for 2 days no already so ill go ahead and leave it until next week. but yo since ive been on doxy its only been 4 days but i went out to go golfing with my dad and facing the sun for only 10 mins i got a nice tan on my arms! one day ten mins. thats amazing i used to sit out in my yard and try to tan my face for a full week 2 hours a day and itnever happened. so since antibitocs are sensitive to the sun im going to use it as my advantage and more than likely get some sun on my face lol... im probably going to spot treat my red marks with sun screen though so the skin around it gets a nice blend with my marks. thats what i was doing before but i never got a tan. now that im on doxy i can totally tan in minutes thats awesome. but at the same time i am worried that i may screw up my marks and make them permanent and then think to myself that i wasted so much time with finacea waiting for results.. also i read alot about if you get a sunburn usually ane pops up because the sun messes with the thickness of your skin. so its debatable still. anyway i just had to rant to you lol btw i think we are both past our 2 month mark on abstaining congrats bro lol.

i feel like i had everything now.

a good cleanser to fight bacteria(hibiclens)

a good topical that creates rapid cell turnor over(finacea)

now exfoliatiing to get that dead skin out of the way that the topical is creating(cotton rounds)

and this make the topical easier to absorb my skin with it out of the way as well

plus exfoliating helps with redmarks already

and now an antibiotic that kills bacteria from the inside/starting probiotics soon to replace the good bacteria.(doxycycline)

and a plus is that it gives me a nice tan.

so im really hoping with all of this i will be clear of acne really soon!
