Usual brekkie/lunch/snack.

Green tea and sweet potatoes.

Spent some time at church. It was wonderful.

Ate out for dinner! Steamed chicken wantons and pad Thai.. I must say, I felt a little bloated after. Haven't eaten outside food on a while!

Nearing the end of week two and my skin's doing great.

:)

Old hard spot on my foreheads come to head.

Same thing on my chin. Glad they're on their way our!

Not cycling anymore because of my weight loss, but walking everywhere I need to go.

The weather in Bombay is just perfect right now.

Bought a new facewash that I just can't wait to use!

AHAGLOW. Composition:

5% aloe Vera, 1% glycolic acid, 0.1% vitamin e, in a gel base.

Read reviews on an Indian blog and it's supposed to be great.

I'm going to start eating one banana daily (after a meal).

Went out and bought some sunflower seeds to put in my oats.

Ate well and had carrot juice today. :)

Put on an aspirin/honey mask in the evening. Couldn't stop touching my cheeks when it came off!

Used the new facewash. No lather, which I like. Smells funky. Cleaned prett well.

Started my day with a cup of white tea.

Pardon the extra info, but I had bowel movements like three times this morning.

Oats with a sliced banana and ground flaxseeds for breakfast.

Brown rice and daal, with a side of boiled cauliflower for lunch.

I was out until the evening and starving, had a couple of methi theplas. So good.

9 grain toast with sunflower seeds and an omelette (1 yolk 2 whites). Used gheeto fry.

A bowl of the most delicious pomegranate (followed by a second helping).

Dinner soon, same as lunch.

I washed my face with ground oats this morning.

Very pleased with the result! It's thevrvd of the day and I'm not as oily as I usually get. Going to use it again before bed.

I only hope it'll get my sunscreen off. Plus all the grime from being out. The air on Bombay is not the cleanest..

Just had a cup of warm water with half a lime squeezed in. Reading in bed, hopefully won't need to go pee all night.

Started my day with a pint of water with half a lemon squeezed in.

Breakfast half an hour later! Oats with sunflower seeds and ground flaxseeds.

One banana.

I ate 4 chapattis yesterday, with half a teaspoon of ghee smothered over each one of them.

I LOVE ghee.

That, along with the rest of my regular diet.

Accidently had a little sugar at work yesterday.

I've been using ground oats to wash my face for the past couple of days.

I love it, except it's hard to do in the morning, when I'm usually late for work.

Skin's nice and soft, only complaint is my nose feels so plugged! I'm thinking I'll wash my nose with facewash before the oats.

Clear from my diet! =)

A whole cluster of dark spots on my right cheek though. Really bringing me down.

you can still eat raw chocolate, it's natural and good for you. It has no sugar, just cacao nibs and cacao butter which comes from the Earth.

I've tried raw chocolate, but I can't handle the bitterness!

I did see this bar of sugar free chocolate made with almond milk though. Super expensive, but I'm going to treat myself. :)

I ate two thIngs off the menu yesterday and the day before, simply because I was away from home and starving.

Two samosas one evening and chicken Hakka noodles for dinner last night.

I'm going to be packing something hence forth do I always have good food to eat.

I started using neutrogena liquid cleanser (my skin has always loved neutrogena, don't know why I always stray) on Tuesday. I think it was the missing piece of the puzzle. Clear from my diet, neutrogena's helping SO much on the outside!

I've also been eating a handful of almonds with my oats.

What a fun day! Did my room up for Christmas and hit the town with my two besties.

I haven't been doing veggie juice daily, but had a glass of carrot juice this evening. And a nice large serving of broccoli.

went out to celebrate a fronds birthday. Here's what I had;

Penne pesto with no dairy at all

Bruschetta (I picked the cheese off)

Chicken Hawaiian salad (SO good, but I forgot to tell them to bring the dressings on the side, think I tasted a little cheese in there)

Lemon juice (I doubkd checked and they valid it was fresh but it tasted like concentrate to me)

A tiny bite of birthday cake

I should be fine, this was a one off thing.

Merry Christmas everyone! :)

Big Christmas lunch at a friends house.

Things that I ate that I normally don't;

White rice

A slice of garlic bread (white with butter)

A thin slice of chocolate mousse cake

I feel guilty, and I'm going to sleep it off. :[

Pasta with red sauce and sausages for dinner tonight. Pasta's safe right?

Had half a glass of orange juice yesterday. It wasn't freshly made. =\

I'm clear now and I must not stray!

Happy new year, everyone!

What I ate today:

Breakfast: Quaker oats with two teaspoons of psyllium husk

Lunch: fenugreek chapattis with red kidney beans and chickpeas

Snack: 20 almonds (yummers, will soak some for the next time though)

An omelette with a chapatti

Dinner: brown rice and raajma (red kidney beans) and a methi chapatti (fenugreek) with ghee

1 large banana

I've been having a little PH these past few days.

A little unclear on when to have it, but I think post breakfast works best. That way, I know I'll get enough water in throughout the day.

I've always been eating sweet potatoes at least three times a week.

I had one drink on the 31st, and ate a little cake, which I'm guessing is the cause of the one little spot I have near my upper lip.

And there's a rather large one on my forehead, very close to my hairline, that in certain is from the hair wax I used on the 31st.

Been clear other than that! Neglected the veggies in the middle, but going to the market tomorrow.

:)

Very happy with the shopping I've done today!

Veggies that I love (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots)

Bananas!

Stocked up on ground flaxseeds!

Bought my first bottle of organic coconut oil. Fried my eggs in it, and poured a tablespoon over my brown rice. SO delicious!

Also, my dad just got back from a trip to America. I asked him to get me the fragrance free version of the Neutrogena facewash (Liquid Neutrogena) I've been using, as it isn't available here.

I LOVE the fragrance free scent! Reminds me of Clinique.

Hello everyone!

I've pretty much been clear since my last visit. sideways.gif

I got one pimple after reintroducing bread. It was multi-grain brown bread, but I saw that it had sugar in its ingredients. It couldn't have been much, but atleast I know sugar is NO NO number one for me.

A few tiny white heads the one time I smoked pot, but nothing too terrible.

I haven't been taking my zinc supplements, and even ran out of probiotics a couple of weeks ago.

I have been having Nature Made Multi Daily (with calcium).

I'm going to edit my first post soon, hopefully making it more short and orderly! This whole threads been so messy. I apologize!

Hey everyone! I'm new to this board and just made a post under another topic "my acne expetience" where I talk about how diet has helped me conquer my acne. So excited to learn that others are experienting with the healing power of food. While I won't bore you all with specific meals I can tell you that by eliminating wheat, preservatives, processed foods, artificial and refined sugars and going to a raw, organic, reduced starch diet I haev cleared my acne in 5 weeks. I look forward to hearing how these lifestyle changes have worked for others. Good luck!

Just wanted to mention, I ran out of Clinique DDMG last week and have been using Clean & Clears Oil Balancing Mousturiser. I really like it so far.

Another thing, I added olive oil back into my diet yesterday. I used to eat it with toast before, and found that I got spots. Silly me though, ofcourse it was the bread.

Hey all. I have found major success with changing my diet. It's not easy, but if you're dedicated it seriously works. I read an e-book by Ray Wang like two weeks ago that just totally rocked my world because I realized even though I had been eating healthy, I had been eating all the wrong stuff.

The basis of the book is that our Omega 3,6, and 9 levels are all off balance and we consume too much sugar. I never ate candy or too many sweets but my weakness was carbs. I didn't know that all carbs eventually get broken down into sugar in our bodies. My body didn't know how to process that many sugars and the result was acne. For some people it's diabetes, some people get fat, and others get bad acne.

I've only been lots of eating raw, alkalizing veggies, some fruit, and correct portions of meat. I've cut out all dairy (except for Kefir. It's magical.) and all carbs/grains, oils, and nuts. It hasn't been easy but it has been so worth it.

If you're really willing to make the effort, I highly recommend checking it out. Just Google Ray J. Wang acne or something like that. Best $20 I ever spent compared to the hundreds I've spent on worthless products that didn't do anything for me...even antibiotics and birth control. I'm sorry if this was just a big long rant. But I really truly believe this is the cure to acne for every single person who has it.

Good Luck!

I think it's odd, but olive oil does not agree with me.

The 2 days that I ate it, I had a lot more energy than usual, but I feel two new spots coming up.

Well, atleast I know now. =]

I'm riding my bike again. I stopped, because of the whole weight thing, but my body craves it. I feel so good now that I'm cycling again! I drink a cup a green tea a bit before, I find that that makes me sweat more, and I feel all glowey when I'm finished.

I've also been having wheatgrass shots.

It's been a while since my last update.

Went through a rough patch. Family drams, weight loss from cutting out too many food items and all the cycling, stressing over everything I ate.

Yes, my skin did get very clear, but I was extremely depressed and anxious all the time. When I got on a weighing scale and almost fainted with shock at the figures I saw, I decided my health was way more important. I got a whole bunch of tests done. All clear. No wheat/gluten/dairy allergies.

Added dairy and wheat back into my diet, started gaining back some weight and feeling a whole lot better. Stopped stressing about food, and kind of let go. I'm only 23. I throughly enjoyed weeks of eating delicious food, along with healthy food, of course. Sweet treats, too. Sugar is the enemy. I broke out a little on my cheeks, but I was too happy to bother. The pimples are gone, but they've left dark spots. And those are driving me nuts.

Anyway, the good that has come out of this is that I know I can consume dairy and wheat. And pretty much anything apart for sugar, without breaking out.

That's such a load off.

Started my day with a banana and a cup of green tea, followed by a bowl of muesli with flaxseed and milk.

Chapatis and chicken curry for lunch.

Peanut butter sandwich.

Warm water with lemon juice.

Huge glass of carrot and cucumber juice.

A handful of almonds.

Pasta with chicken and cheese for dinner. =[

Will have a cup of warm water with lemon juice before bed.

Going to see a dermi tomorrow morning! I've never really been to one, and the doctor I've found has got glowing reviews (from friends. I've seen the difference!)

These dark spots are really bothering me, and it's about time I did something about it.

=)

Okay. So, I've kinda been acne free since April 2012. Went to the derm, she prescribed azelaic acid and 4% nicotinamide gel for the dark spots and to prevent future breakouts. It worked really well. Used it for about 5 months. Ate dessert and drank occasionally. Never over did it though. Was a bit more strict with my diet after getting off the topicals. Avoided food that breaks me out, ate very nutritionally rich food, had vegetable juice whenever I could. Stayed clear. Ate quite a lot of junk and drank more than usual during Christmas, but started using lemon juice to tone at night and stayed clear.

Then about 3 weeks ago, I experimented with red wine. I drank about 2 glasses a night for a few days, and my skin was fine.

And then one night, I went and had an entire bottle. Argh. Worst hangover I've had in a long time, and I brokeout. Been extra careful about what I eat since then, and thankfully, I've finally cleared up, but I'm left with brand new dark spots. Argh.

When will I learn?

No sugar binges. No alcohol binges.

Eat healthy. Things I have to include. Bananas and bcomplex. Vegetable juice. Lemon juice. Green tea.

Use neutrogena ultrasheer no matter what! Cannot go a day without it.

Lemon juice to tone at night.
