so ive had acne for pretty much my whole teenage life (im 17) and this year it really cleared up from taking antibiotics and benzoyl peroxide but Ive been stuck pretty much all year with this redness on my face? my dad tells me its just acne scars but the redness seems to just get worse as time goes on, looks a lot like acne but my skin is smooth with no bumps, im thinking its acne rosacea? cant see a derm or doctor anyways bc of covid lol. I'm just not sure if I'm making it worse by starting antibiotics again the past month or so as I feel my skin has got more red. My acne is pretty much gone
Yes, I think it's acne-rosacea. I recommend you to this. : Topical metronidazole , sulfacetamide/sulfur, and azalaic acid are generally effective for patients with mild rosacea. For moderate papulopustular rosacea, combination therapy with oral tetracyclines and topical agents is the first-line choice.
