Hi everyone,

The skin under my nose and under my chin are Always red. It does not itch or burn. I don't have any weird bumps on it, sometimes pimples but
that is maybe once in 2 months or so.  It only flakes a little bit after I shower. I really feel insecure about it for 3 years now... I have tried
many things(I already went to the doctor), but it didn't help... Is there someone who has the same problem? Or is there someone who knows what it is and how I can fix it? The doctor says it could be rosacea or couperose, but I doubt it.  It isn't swollen, and you can't see enlarged blood vessels. The doctor has given me a cream for it (Metronidazole) but before I use it, I really want to know what it really is before the cream could make it worse....

I quit using any creams to see what it would for my skin. I also don't use a face wash anymore. I also used benzoyl peroxide in the past.
Sorry for the weird pictures, I had to stretch my skin a bit for you to see it at its worst. The 3rd picture is when I don't stretch it.

Edit: I noticed that my mother has it too. Could it be something genetic?
