I have had moderate acne for about a year but it's gotten worse lately I used to be on BP but stopped because I thought it was making my skin more sensitive and itchy. Now it's always red after washing and itches in the heat and stuff. I've been eating healthier while drinking only water. Any advice??? Maybe it's a food allergy but I don't consume milk/much dairy.

Try a food elmination diet. You can be sensitive to ANY food. Even some fruits and vegetables.

I am only red but from time to time get some this "bulks". I suspected food problems but all test I've done said it wasn't.

My dermatologist says it is rosacea but with "worse" stadium.

There is certain group of foods which can make my skin worse for few days, example eating bananas in large amount.

To make it clear:

1. I use laser and lightlenght wave IPL for redness. My color is really better but I done 5 treatmens in last half year. It is still much to do.

2. I use good creme (or cream I don't know how it is written). Everyday. First base of antisun SPF +50, then minute or two after skin "eats" this, I put my rosacea cream and on this make up, really delicate. I use this makeup for years and nobody found I use on my face something. They think I am just like that.

I found Cetaphil for face cleansing really good! I clean my face only via cotton sponges, same my eyes as rosacea has tendency to make your eyes worsen.... remember that.

3. After day I use creme for night - it gives my skin cool silk touch. No irritating.

From time to time I use metronidazolum gel. I don't know it helps or not, it is from dermatologist prescription.

I used to take Minocycline antibiotics which made me great results however you cannot take them forever.

I read some and I suspected food correlation with the rosacea and everyday I drink one tablespoon of Nigella Sativa oil which helps in allergies and kills a lot of bad bacterias inside your belly and guts - even those which antibiotics have problems fighting to. http://www.todaysdietitian.com/newarchives/090114p64.shtml

Today I have few pulpas (dots) on my forehad - I do not know where they came from. I just know I ate few bananas, cheese and made spicy tomato souce - so I ate food which may tick rosacea to kick in.

I hope it will shade off within 2 days :)

Eh I forgot - I drink FRESH PRESSED carrot juice, not juice from the box.

It makes my skinn less red because overall I am a bit "sun touched". Really small effect but it difference is visible I think.

what soap do you use?

some soaps can cause irritation. a lot of people only use water to wash their faces, which might work for you.

also don't wash your face more than 2 times a day.
