Clogged pores from Estee Lauder double wear?

A few weeks ago I purchased the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation since I'd heard a lot of great things about it; however, I'm beginning to think it might be causing a bit of a breakout on my skin ugh. Not a ton of pimples, but more clogged pores/comedones? especially along my jawline. I read online that this happened to some other people as well and they mentioned it being due to improper cleansing of the skin. I don't think this is the case for me since my toner pads came out clear. I'm not 100% certain that it is due to the foundation or if its hormones or what, but it was also quite drying around my mouth. I'll probably save it for special occasions since I like how it looks on the skin.

Does anybody know other foundations that are similar to double wear, but less likely to cause a breakout? Before I was using Clinique Stay Matte, but I want something with better coverage, doesn't separate, and that is also buildable.

Hello, I like the Estee Lauder Perfectionist Foundation MUCH better than the Double Wear. The Double Wear was very drying on my skin. In fact, the Perfectionist is the best foundation that I have found, I use it over moisturizer and sunscreen, then use the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer (in the wand) to further cover any red spots. On good days I don't need to use the Concealer at all. Yeah, I also thought the Double Wear broke me out, but the Perfectionist never has, nor has this Concealer. If you go to the Estee Lauder Counter they will give you a sample of Perfectionist. Good Luck!

I'm not surprised that the Double Wear is breaking you out. It contains a decent amount of Polyglyceryl-3-Diisostearate which rates a 4 on the comedogenic scale.
The Perfectionist fairs better on the ratings, so it's worth a try. I may give it a go myself.
