Skin texture looks horrible with Make-up

Hi everyone. So I am really struggling with the texture of my skin as well as the oiliness/dryness, specifically when I wear make-up. After doing my morning routine and putting on my make-up, an hour later my face feels tight. It's dry/flaky in the areas where I put the BP (which I only use at night), as well as around my chin area, but at the same time it looks so greasy and gross, especially on my T-zone. There are also all these skin-colored bumps around my chin area that usually you can't see until I put makeup on, then they seem to get highlighted. Of course, in sunlight everything looks 100x worse.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, since I don't use any super harsh stuff. My skin care routine is a mix of natural and drugstore products.

Morning:
- Wash with Cetaphil Daily Cleanser for all skin types.
- Moisturize with 100% Pure Acai Berry Face Cream
- Apply Primer and Make-up

Night:
- Wash With Clearasil Acne + Marks Cleanser & Mask (
-Moisturize with 100% Pure Acai Berry Face Cream + a few drops of Jojoba Oil
- After the moisturizer is fully absorbed I put a bit of 2.5% BP on my spots

The cleansers on here are just the recent ones I've been using in the last few days. I've experimented with a bunch though and nothing seems to change the texture/oiliness of my skin. I've tried African Black Soap, Acure, Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser, Neutrgena Naturals, manuka honey etc. Perhaps I should add in a toner or something?

Thanks for the help!

I know how you feel. My skin is oily but also dry and flakey and its just a hot mess when I put on foundation. I suggest exfoliating if you're not on retin-a to get rid of the flakiness. Use a mattifying primer on your T-zone and a mineral powder foundation. Use a creamy foundation for your cheeks. The colorless bumps go away if you start retin-a.

I have the same problem :( somethings I think my skin actually looks worse with make up on as the sunlight seems to magnify my scarring and ice pick marks when I have foundation on :( ... One thing I can suggest for your dry skin is 'Elemis fresh skin' exfoliator and moisturisers , they are a line of products for skin that breaks out and have been the best products for me so far after trying so many! I use them daily and they defiantly help to prep my skin before aplying makeup! Hope this helps :)

I don't feel a toner would help, most toners are just chemical based that just throw off the ph level of your even more. Try adding more drops of the jojoba oil with your moisturizer and don't be scared to do it in the am too before your makeup. I am on the regimen and had such dry and flaky skin for the second and third week and now that its been a month my skin has adjusted and looks like it did before with makeup on, if not even better. When in doubt user more moisturizer and oil!

Try glycolic or salicylic acid moisturizer! Helps to peel off those flakes and keeps pores clear

Perhaps a primer would help the make up look smoother. Pur Minerals makes good ones, even an anti redness one.
