Hi, everyone!
normally I wash my hair everyday, but shampoo every other day. now that i'm on accutane, what do you think I should do? i've heard that i won't need to wash my hair as often (because i'm not producing those oils anymore), but i'd feel dirty if I only washed it once a week (i like to be clean; I take between 2-3 showers a day). What do you think? its a bit dry now, but i'd hate to damage it anymore.
Thank you,

Hi!
I just started my second month and my scalp was one of the first things to dry out (used to have very oily hair). I shower every day, but have been washing my hair about every 3 days. I definitely recommend a deep conditioning treatment (I've been using marc anthony coconut oil deep conditioner). My hair doesn't feel dirty, but I also like to use a dry shampoo on days I'm not washing just to add some volume. Hope this helps!
Take advantage of the short few months you'll have with oil-free hair and let your hair take a break. Personally, I'm so oily and have to shampoo every day, but on Accutane I was able to go five days maximum without shampooing. Not shampooing as often helps hair to become healthier. If you're worried about feeling clean, maybe rinse your hair with water on days you don't shampoo. I also highly recommend dry shampoo. Bastille is an excellent brand.
I was only washing my hair 1-2 times a week before Accutane.
I'm into my second month of accutance and it's been over a week -- and it looks really good.
My current regime: baby powder in your hair every night and some hair serum/oil for the ends.
Otherwise I'd say maybe start going every two days and then three days without shampooing and just condition your hair on your off days.
Also -- isn't your skin SUPER dry with your 2-3 showers a day? Mine is getting pretty dry now with my once daily shower.
