Before accutane my skin was dry, but after (even now a year later) i am even drier than before. This makes it so hard to find a foundation that doesn't go all flaky and also covers up my acne scars!

I currently use Clinque's acne solutions but i have also tried Laura Mercier creme smooth foundation, Estee Lauder double wear, Mac studio fix fluid, Revlon colorstay, Bourjois healthy mix and L'oreal true match lumi.

I used Mac prolongwear concealer when trying all of these and they all started cracking within 4 hours. I'm actually getting so down about it, i just want to find a good one that will cover my scars and stay on dry pale skin.

Any recommendations please :)

Have you tried any anti aging foundations yet? I know each drugstore brand has it's own anti aging line that is going to be more hydrating than their normal foundations because mature skin tends to be dry.

hi Fault,

Maybe try mixing your foundation with a good moisturizer. In my opinion, makeup doesn't do a very good job as a treatment for the skin. My dern recommended Neutrogena Healthy Defense and I use Mac Sudio Fix at 1:1. At first I thought the moisturizer was too greasy, but I decided to give it a fair shot, since she recommended it. And what I'm finding is that my skin isn't producing as much oil because it's already nice and 'lubed up.' Hope this helps.
