Hi everyone. So here's the thing.
My face is 90% clear (due to the miracles of apple cider vinegar) but the problem is that I have severe red spots and some scarring. I need some help in what makeup product I should buy (what brands, where to get them, and what to get) now, I want it to look as minimal and natural as possible. Any guys out there that wear makeup can give me some tips? What store can I go to where there are clerks that can help me? Sephora? Tips from women would be muchly appreciated as well (:
I want my marks to be covered as much as possible while looking as natural as possible and using minimal products as possible.
I've heard good things about Mac powder foundation and mineral powders....idk though I'm so confused...
I'm 17 and at that age where I'm more comfortable with myself where I feel I can wear makeup and who cares what anyone has to say about it, as long as it makes me feel go about myself and look like a normal human being, than its all good. So to anyone who opposes the use of makeup....you do what you gotta do.

Those are all red marks. One little pimple will make a red spot that lasts about 1 year or more. I've learned to deal with it but now I think its time for a change
Bare Mineral Essentials will give you the most natural but still medium coverage.
I would use it but my skin is dry , if your skin is dry mineral make up wont help.
At the moment I'm using Healty Mix foundation in 52 and it's pretty good.
I'm a straight guy and Im wearking make up for 2 years now , just don't worry about it,Like David X said "Who cares what they say" only in this case they=people.

I don't know anything about makeup.... But I do know that my skin looks 100x better when it is even and healthy. I have horribly dry skin that needs moisturized, but most products make my skin oily and give me a break out. One product that I have been using religiously for 4 years is a moisturizer that you can get from Walmart called Golden Glow made by Malibu Tan. It is a hemp lotion with a bit of DHA (I think that is what the tanning ingredient is called) and it does not contain any pore clogging oils. It says right on the bottle it will not clog pores and it has never clogged mine. That way my skin is already getting a healthy even glow and I do not have to wear any kind of makeup (I have never tried)
Just thought that might help.
*** Thought I should add that I do not have what anyone would call significant scarring. I have a couple of pock marks and a scar, but nothing drastic. Hopefully it would still work for someone who had scarring.
Thanks for the suggestion, I haven't been using moisturizer often (worse that I live in California)
But my skin regimen is so complicated and annoying to where I just like to use acv toner and face wash.
I'm going to see how the makeup thing goes anyways just cause the uneven skin tone that I have is my main concern.
As far as scarring goes....
Eh its not that bad and I'll deal with that in the future when I have more money.

I'd try Alima Pure or something similar if you're looking for the most natural makeup. Check out the ingredients - all natural. You can get trials of their foundation for around $1.50 each online I think, so you can get the right colour, and then the full size foundation is only $20.
Also, a great website I used when I was trying to find a good makeup is cosdna. It gives you all the ingredients for a product and shows how bad for acne they are. For example, you mentioned MAC. I also heard good things about their powders/foundations so gave them a try, and I broke out really bad. I checked the ingredients on cosdna and there's some very bad ones in there in terms of acne.

I finally went to JC penny and the clerks helped me a lot. there were like 3 different women helping me out. I purchased a compact powder by Marc Jacobs called perfection powder. It perfectly fits my skin color and its really lightweight. However, its really hard to put on the brush onto my face. They said it shouldnt break me out but well see. The only thing that sucked is that it was pretty expensive so I might switch to a different brand next time. I also got a primer for sensitive skin that was also pretty expensive. Oh well, as long as it keeps me happy.
Spent 85$ in total

And 20$ is awesome compared to 45$
great! Could you give me an update on the marc jacobs powder after you've used it for a few weeks? I've heard some good things about it, but I was put off by the price.
If you are having trouble with the brush, try using a kabuki brush or makeup sponges to apply it.
