So yesterday I tried out some body mist that my mum uses and I'm really happy with the results. I have a very even, natural-looking tan. I read on the back of the bottle that this product cannot be used on the face and that they sell an individual product for that. I'm assuming it will still be loaded with ingredients that clog pores, but it never really seems to be products that cause my acne...well it depends whether they dry me out or not or cause irritation.
The product is 'L'Oreal sublime bronze airbrush-effect self-tanning dry mist for face' and it claims to dry instantly and moisturise at the same time. If you guys think it's a huge no-no for the face, what would you recommend? This product is quite expensive too, so I'm unsure whether it's worth the price if it's going to cause me to breakout.
Thanks
Just use the body one that you already have but mix it with a splodge of moisturizer in your hand and apply it that way - the sprays are fine for the smooth flat surface of the body but for your face its safer to use something you can massage in and make sure you have even coverage. Make sure the moisturizer you mix it with doesnt have any active ingredients though (AHA/BHA etc). Also remember that any dry skin will go a lot darker. It shouldnt cause you any breakouts if you do it at night and wash off the excess product in the morning
I don't know about sprays but I used Rimmel's instant tan on my face and EVERY dry patch or place where I've had a breakout recently turned BLACK because the pigment clung so badly to the dryer areas of skin! I would seriously suggest testing it first and perhaps just using bronzer on the face

Thanks . Eventually I decided to get a bronzer rather than a fake tan. I got Clinique's gel bronzer for men. I haven't tried it out properly yet because my face is not in the best condition at the moment.
I applied some to my cheeks mixed with some moisturiser and it didn't look fantastic. I'm starting to think maybe I should have got a powder based bronzer.
a lot of self tanners from experience make acne, dry skin, and hyperpigmentation look WORSE. Self tanning lotions I have found help to even the skin tone out without causing that effect. Jergens makes a self tanner for the face that's oil free and works pretty well and gradual. Also, if the ingredients to that are similar to the ones in the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Clear Self-Tanning Gel do not put it on your face, I tried that and it made me break out with tiny pimples.
