So, I use Paula's Choice 2% BHA gel and my skin is actually pretty much clear for the first time in two years, but I still like to hide some marks with makeup. I have very fair, sensitive skin that gets quite dry and peels easily. I do have eczema but I only seem to get red rashes during the winter and on my wrists.

I can't use the BHA gel under makeup alone because my skin gets flaky and gross when I apply anything over it, so I can just use it at night if necessary.

The makeup/BB cream I use is Skin79 Super Plus Beblesh Balm. I just need to find a moisturizer that will not break me out and will allow for smooth application. I guess I need a veryy hydrating moisturizer made for acne-prone skin.

I feel like I added a lot of unnecessary details but I wanted to be thorough, haha. Any help would be appreciated.

I have heard that Cerave is a great moisturizer for dry skin. I use cetaphil, which I like, but it may not be as efficient for eczema.

I second Cerave! after using over-priced moisturizers for years, my dermatologist suggested CeraVe which can be found in any drugstore. It doesn't contain any acne medication (SA or BP) so it wont aggravate your skin while on other acne regimens and it moisturizes like a dream! Im reading my bottle now and it says its accepted by the National Eczema Association so it must be good for your skin condition. For a higher end product, I'd recommend Philosophy's Hope in a Jar if you are super dry. Hope that helps!

My support is also behind the CeraVe aswell. I began using it when Retin-A .1% made my skin look borderline like a shredded coconut. Even though the Retin-A has stopped, I still use it to this day. It's great underneath make-up and I can easily put a primer on top without making the primer "ball up."

CeraVe almost has the consistency of a primer. Creates a nice matte finish. I actually like the CeraVe AM the best. It has sunscreen in it and I like the consistency even better than the normal CeraVe...I can't say that about any other sunscreen moisturizer.

I'm a HUGE fan of CeraVe. Way more than Cetaphil cream (which I think has mineral oil in it as well). I was on Spiro and Differin, and my skin was so dry and cracked. I started using the moisturizer during the day, and the heavier cream at night, and it worked wonders. Moisturized well, and repaired my skin.

I didn't realize I had responses! Thanks everyone! Just picked up Cerave PM since everyone here seems to love Cerave. Since it's winter in Minnesota and my skin doesn't react well to sunscreen I decided I'd try this one first. Would it be best to add jojoba oil to the Cerave?
