So I just did my makeup, and then walked into a differently lit room and saw my face was a totally diff colour to my neck!! im guessing its because i layer on my makeup to cover up my scars, and forget that layers=makeup getting darker...anyway, was annoying and wondered if you guys have this prob...!! i dont actually cake my makeup on either, its thin layers!! not fun.

xx

All the time!!

I remember a few months ago when I was in a hurry to just cover up my skin and get out, I would cover my neck too :( It was just the simplest way, haha!

Now I try to just use it on my face, but my skin tone varies so much that I end up putting some on lightly over my neck/ collar bone just to make the tones 'match'......

Haha my face if anything would be lighter. I'm like shade 01 in all ranges. I use a tinted moisturizer/sunscreen on my neck and as I'm powdering my face, run the brush over my neck. Seems to work fine. Blend blend blend!

you're supposed to blend into your neck as well.

^That doesn't always help either. You can still notice if the makeup is different than your neck color. I've had it happen pppppplenty of times, lol.

The horror of foundation masks.

I can't wait to be able to just dab on some powder and voila!

Face makeup makes face look attracting and looking natural.

Match your foundation to your neck. And be sure to test make-up before you buy it because some will actually change color throughout the day. Also, try not to cake on the make-up and just opt for a really good concealer for your acne.

I have the same problem! My neck is lighter than my face, so if I match my foundation to my neck then my face looks like a ghost. If I match it to my face, it looks like I have a mask on. I usually just dust my neck with some mineral powder that's in between the shade of my foundation and the color of my neck.
