Hello. I'm 33 years old male with ongoing acne problem for 9 months now. Have had hormonal acne as a teenager but nothing really after that till November last year. It started with single red spot above my lip that wouldn't go away. But then it turned into very bad rash which you can see on the photo. I was prescribed fucidin acid which didn't help and then anifungal cream with steroid which helped but it took 2 months to clear the 'main' rash, although I was getting new bumps in different places on my face. Then I was given hydrogen peroxide which didn't help and then antibiotic flucloxacillin which helped to reduce again 'the main' rash. After that I was given metronidazole but that was making my pimples so inflamed I had to stop. My skin is much better then it used to be as you can see on the photo but still it didn't clear. What is weird till maybe a week ago it was only the right side of my face that was impacted. Now I'm getting bumps on both. On the right side I have like 3 spots, around my mouth that even there is no pimple in it now it will stay red. Pimple can reoccur in the same spot at different times. Anyone have any idea? Vulgaris? Fungal? Anything else. I live in the UK and I'm loosing faith bc the doc I saw yesterday has told me I'm an expert in my condition and asked me what helped me the most during my case so he can give to me again. I'm fed up mentally with trying to figure out what's going on by myself. I know none of you guys are the doctor but still I would appreciate your opinion. Thank you in advance.

Not sure if this is acne. Hmm. You should see a dermatologist who is an expert for a good diagnosis.

Until then, your skin looks a lot shinier in the pictures with the acne/rash. Did you start taking a new medication perhaps? Testosterone replacement? Anything that might be affecting your skin oil levels? Or using a new product of some kind?
