this gives me some hope. look how drastically the numbers drop at 41. i'll be 41 in november-cross fingers.
That's probably only because people over age 41 rarely use the internet or visit acne.org. I don't think you magically stop getting zits after age 41 but hey, ya never know!
47, and experiencing the worst acne of my life over the past two years or so. I've had problems in the past, but nothing like now. My chin is the worst -- nodules, whiteheads, and painful deep cysts. What worked in the past, bp and moisturizer -- isn't working now. I'm on minocycline twice a day, and tazorac is perscribed, but it makes my face peel so bad, I can't use it very often.

Hi there,
46 years old. Recently started Tazorac w/doxycycline. Currently in the "gets worse before it gets better" stage. Hanging in there to see if I actually do get better. Flakiness and oily at the same time.
I turn 40 next week. I use tazorac 1% at night (at least 1 hour after I wash my face) for mild/moderate acne, and today I started Rosac for mild rosacea (replacing the clyndimax)... I stopped the tazorac for about 3 months - big mistake... I will not do that again... I use Purpose calming lotion with sunscreen during the day - OR - if I am going to be home all day (not outside and no makeup) I actually use Cetaphil body lotion on my face - which does not break me out - but does keep my face moist when I am feeling particularly over medicated...
