I had moderately bad acne from the ages of 11 to 19 then my skin calmed down naturally. I never found anything which ever made my skin completely better. I still suffer from frequent spots at 23 but recently i went on holiday where my skin broke out incredibly badly in the space of a day! I've never had skin this bad since i was 16! Don't know if it was the heat or suncream but i thought the sun was good for spots? I feel like i'm never going to have the clear skin i crave!!!
41. How nice, I have my own private bracket.
Q
Dear Q,
I just joined, so excuse any incorrect uses/format!
I'm 46 and have acne exactly where you do -- hairline, jaw, chin -- all areas of hairgrowth. Esp. more now that I'm probably in perimenopause [joy!].
How did the doc decide it was folliculitis? I've suspected that, but my aesthetician has poo-poo'd that, saying that hair follicles are not involved.
Thanks for any input!
I'm 35 and totally pissed off about having acne at this age.
Then what makes it worse is when you try to buy alcohol in Asda and get id'd by the teenage cashier on the till who has absolutely NO spots whatsoever!.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!
