About 5 years ago I started getting a red flakey rash that turns into lumps with small amounts of liquid on top that scab over. It only appears on my forehead. Its itchey and stings when touched.

For the past 5 years doctors keeps giving me the lymecycline antibiotic which reduces it by about 90% and a few different creams too. I have also tried going dairy free and gluten free but neither made a difference.

Does anyone have any idea what type of acne, or anything else this could be? The picture below is 2 weeks after finishing lymecycline and it gets worse as time goes on. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

This is most likely caused by fungus. The lymecycline has made the problem worse as antibiotics CAUSE fungal outbreaks and fungal acne on skin.

Itchy MEANS fungal.

Keep the area dry (do NOT use moisturisrs or organic oils on the affected area) and apply clotrimazole cram (Canesten) to the affected area 2-3 times a day. Also use an antidandruff shampoo to wash your hair.

Get back to me if no improvement after a week or so, and I will provide information about more targeted topical antifungals to use to fi your problem.

And do NOT take antibiotics unless you have a serious (life threatening) BACTERIAL infection.
