Hi all,
I've always had bad spots, all my life. But now at the age of 33 it's the worst it's ever ever been. I have every type of spot you can imagine covering my entire face. It's got to the stage where make up just won't cover it and I'm producing oil at an alarming rate. I've been on the mini pill Cerelle for 9 months and it could be that this has caused the sudden worsening, although it was already bad and I'm reluctant to come off it as it's solved my period problems. I've been on Minocycline antibiotics for about 6 weeks now, with no affect whatsoever, in fact it's got worse. I'm using the very best topical products, doing all the right things, I'm just plagued by this and getting desperate with my confidence at an all time low. I can't get to my doctor for several weeks, so anyone with some reassurance or positive experience with these medications is very welcome for in the meantime. Thank you
All you should need is a good spot cream that will get rid of your active stuff and change your diet and lifestyle/hygene that is nore suited to your acne ie:it will keep it under control and clear it up.
i dont believe in throwing liads of money and chemicals at my face.
just panoxyl on sctive areas, not as a detterent or all over.
i try to avoid all the usual foods that people say aggravates acne,i drink water several times a day, only use warm water and dry pat with clean towel every time.keep bedding clean and general hygene, dont finger your face.
stay stress free if you can and try cutting down masturbation.
eat brown bread instead of white, sweet potatos instead of white, juggle what you eat and keep eye on skin to see how it reacts,if it dosnt its good,if you get whiteheads and breakouts, cut what you think caused it.
get sleep every day.
you need to change life, diet sometimes rather than relying on products and pills.then cut back on the products and let your body deal with it,you just aud it.
Hiya,
I'm 30 and have had acne crop up again in the last 3 years. I put it down to hormones changing since I had my daughter. But after I had her I was also put on cerelle and had terrible skin the whole time.
I just stopped cerelle around a month ago and got a copper IUD as anything with hormones gives me spots or migraines so thought this would be a good option!
Now for the first time since I had my daughter my skin is clearing up massively its the best its been in what feels like forever! So in my experience cerelle definitely made my skin bad. Im so glad I made the move to come off it!
Hi,
I know you are desperate, because you have been suffering from acne for a long time. I want to share my advice with you.
I am female , 47 years old, and suffering from cistic acne since I was fifteen. I have tried everything included accutane, BCP, .... Birth control pills made my acne worst ever.
The only thing that have worked for me is: 1 ) Internal: Flutadine ( or another antiandrogen like saw palmetto + zinc.) 2 ) external use: oxigen water, ( this is amazing and very cheap) applied with a cotton ball.
I hope it Works for you
