I suffer from chronic adult cystic acne. I have had it for years and am now 26. I find that my skin is always worse when I am on any type of birth control pill. I need to be on the pill or some kind of birth control though so this is very frustrating. Are there any other options for me in terms of pills or other birth control methods? I am a little scared to do the IUD. I might be able to try another birth control pill but I have tried 4 different kinds and they all seem to make my skin worse. I only get breakouts on my chin and below my mouth so I know it is hormonal. I have tried other topical creams which seem to work somewhat well when I am off of the pill. I just feel really trapped in the situation. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
