I have three large, painless lumps on the tip of my nose that keep getting bigger and have ruined the shape of it. My nose is no longer symmetrical, and looks way bigger than it really is. I have been recently suffering from what I am assuming is cystic/nodular acne (because the dermatologist I went to was of no help and did not give me a diagnosis, just expensive topical prescriptions). They are the deep, hard lumps that will appear anywhere on my face. Some of them hurt, but most of them are painless, and they never come to a head. They appear to be made up of groups of 3 or more blackheads, but this might just be the blackheads sitting on top of whatever is underneath. The hard, inactive bumps stay on my face for months, and most of them have never gone away completely. I have never had them on my nose before, and it is hard to tell if the lumps on my nose are the same as the ones I get on the rest of my face, though they seem similar. I am going to make an appointment with another dermatologist tomorrow, and I have an appointment with an ear, nose, and throat specialist in about a week. I am so depressed and do not want to leave the house, if anyone has any information that could help me figure this out it would be greatly appreciated. I'll post a picture asap.
These have been a new development for me aswell over the past couple years and are getting worse. I've had a few for more then 6 months. Its almost like they start as cysts but instead of coming to a head and popping they just harden and then become less red and stay forever. I currently have 2 on my forehead and one on my cheek.. No signs they are leaving. So far have found nothing to help them.
