Sudden Small Little Bumps All Over Forehead

About two weeks ago, I started getting these little flesh colored little bumps on the middle of my forehead.

After the bumps started I thought at first it was an allergic reaction as that's what it looked like. So I took allergy medicine and left it alone for a few days but it wasn't getting better. I went to the doctor who told me it was acne and prescribed me an antibiotic (Clindamycin phosphate topical lotion). I started using this twice a day and after two days I felt like my condition was actually getting worse. It had now spread to my entire forehead and my hairline and it was getting really itchy as well! Some of the bumps will get bigger and turn into a small pimple.

I stopped using the antibiotic and I think it slightly improved but now it's been a week and there's been no improvement at all.

I searched online for people who have similar issues and thought it might be folliculitus. I was experiencing some dry patches of skin on my forehead about 3-4 weeks ago so I used this really old miracle cream I had which helps moisturize and smooth out dry skin. I think this might be the culprit as I have the occasional pimple maybe once or twice a month but besides that my skin is always clear.

Some people mentioned Nizoral shampoo helps with this condition so I've been washing my forehead with this for the past 2-3 days but don't see any improvement. I've tried benzol peroxide as well but doesn't seem to be working.

I haven't been going out much the past week because of this condition and am really unhappy :( I had clear skin just 2 weeks ago and afraid this condition won't go away! Any advice or help would be much appreciated!

It sounds like it's either folliculitis or milia. Milia can be caused by clogged pores and/or allergic reactions, while folliculitis is caused either by clogged hair follicles or bacterial/fungal infections. Try tea tree oil topically first. If the bumps are responding well to tea tree, it's most likely folliculitis.

I have a feeling it's folliculitis. I looked up milia and it doesn't look like that condition.

The Nizoral is really drying out my face - almost making it seem rash-like so I may stop using it.

I'm thinking of trying tea trea oil. Is there a brand or certain one that you recommend?

I have a dermatologist appt on Friday so hopefully I can get something that actually works! Hate that this is happening during this time. I've been laying low the past couple of weeks too.

I buy the 100% tea tree oil from CVS and dilute it with water.

I've had EXACTLY the same problem and nothing I tried worked.. I changed my diet, changed my products, used anti-fungal and anti-bacterial creams, changed my sleep pattern, tried tea tree oil. Nothing worked until I started taking anti-allergy tablets recommended by a pharmacist, on top of taking these I applied Eurax lotion on the area.. This was 2 days ago and now my forehead is almost completely clear! If nothing is working for you I really suggest this treatment!
