Ive been on Dianette for about a year and half now, i went away in the summer on a trekking holiday in south america, so took it consistently for 3 months. I came home, had a break and once i went back on the pill, my skin has suddenly erupted in acne again. I havnt had bad skin in ages, I dont know whether its due to the sun, or going back on it? Has this happened to anyone else?
If you took a break from taking the pill you could be experiencing the initial breakout again (depending on how long you stopped taking it for). When you go off the pill your body can go out of whack because it hasn't had to produce natural hormones for itself for a while, and going back on, you're introducing those synthetic hormones again so it'll take your body a while to get used to it.
Also, I've heard travelling can make your skin go a bit crazy, maybe that has something to do with that too?
