Since 16 I always had a very? mild acne that I just can't get rid off. It always starts (continues) the same it starts to tingle a little bit under the skin and after around 2-3 Days its starts to hurt under the skin and a red boils start to swell up. Most of the time they dont form a head or puss they just sit there grow and hurt for around a week or two. Size differs from small ones that dont bother me to around 2cm ones on my freaking nose for everyone to stare at. After around 1,5 Month they completely heal and disappear withouth a scar in the meantime new ones start to grow so I am never really free. I know this is a really small case compare to other poor girls and guys but I am now 29 years old and maybe someone here has some solution I simply can't get rid off it and I dont think I will ever get accutane because apperantly its just not that serious :/ Here are some things I tried: B5 vitamine, zinc creams, apple vinegar, epsom salt, bpo 2,5% up to 5% for half a year but I started to get some allergic reaction and it didnt really help anyway, tea tree oil, going vegan for half a year and of course some guidelines like only sleeping on the back, no face touching, no hot showers, no chocolate pizza soda or any junk food and lots of sleep and water.
Here are some pictures. I usually dont take pictures of my bad times so keep in mind this is actually the best I have been in a long time its usually worse I hope anyone can make sense of this, i am not even sure if this counts as acne anyway :/ and sorry for my poor english, its not my first language.
First a full face picture:
This will just annoy me for the next two weeks :/
One on my cheek that is almost finished healing up. On my chin two new will form and start to hurt around next week.
Other cheek a small one that formed a head and on my chin new ones are already on their way.
I'm new here, but my guess is that at some point, someone will ask you if you've tried "The Regimen." I used to get those same type of bumps and I swear, although I have no proof, I am convinced that taking 50mg of zinc every day took care of those bumps. The acne I have now is different.
Yeah, Like Moonlight has good idea. Be sure to dilute Tea Tree Oil (TTO) with a carrier oil so it's about 10% at first, and you may be able tolerate 50% after a short amount of time. Jojoba or any food grade vegetable oil is a carrier oil.
TTO treats demodex mites, which are sometimes a co-existing condition with acne. Demodex treated with 25% to 50% TTO will die in about 2 weeks but the eggs hatch in 3 weeks so TTO has to be used for 4 to 5 weeks to obtain full cure, if demodex is your problem. Drug stores sell a kind of generic TTO, but herbal stores or Ayurveda shops sell a better quality TTO, if you can find one.
TTO doesn't really treat anything else, IMO, but you seem to have something that comes and goes in a regular cycle, like demodex. Writing a timeline may help you figure it out too.
