Hi all, I'm a 43 year male from Brisbane, Australia. Got acne at 13 and have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it! Had it for 30 years! It utterly destroyed my self-esteem as a teenager and into early adulthood sending me into a life threatening bout of suicidal depression. But as I got older I learned to live with it with a very supporting family and became stronger on the inside as a man. Now "I'm just over it!"and still want to get rid of it.

Anyway, I recently went to another of many dermatologist and he diagnosed my symptoms as "Steato Cystoma Multiplex".

Has anyone else heard of this?

Apparently, it is cystic acne related but technically not acne but it looks like a type of acne. I would describe it as bumpy but usually doesn't come to a head and erupt like your average run-of-the-mill pimple. Individually they sit under the skin like a little pustular lump, and can stay there in the same spot for years without changing moving or doing anything other than look bad on my face neck shoulders and back. I've been doing the "AcnePractice" regimen online with "Dr, Neal" for the last 3 weeks hoping to see some dramatic change over the next few months, but any change so far has been minimal.

I spotted this website Acne.org after I signed up with "acnepractice" and thought I'd take a look sometime. So if anyone out there is reading this and you've had experience with "Steato Cystoma Multiplex" or "Dr.Neals" "AcnePractice" or both, I would love to hear from you to see if we can put our heads together and come up with a plan to combat it because from the research that I've done on it, there is apparently "No Cure".

But I refuse to stop at that!

There must be a way...there has to be!

I'm not giving up!!

Who's with me!!...

Unfortunately this is not cystic acne, so I'm not sure that Dr Neals or acne.org will be able to help you. What exactly is the AcnePractice doing that is different from a normal dermatologist? Did your derm give any advice? I think they would have to be surgically removed. I'm really sorry, I know how devastating this is because for a while I was scared I had it.
