Ok so I'm at my wits end here! I have had this one area on my chin that has been breaking out like crazy! As a result I have been getting aggressive with PCA 5% Organic Benzoyl Peroxide

Unfortunately it seems to be making this area very inflamed. I just don't know what to do! Were supposed to use BP on outbreaks, right? But it seems it isn't helping, as this area has been breaking out for a month!

Anyone have any suggestions to calm this area down? Should I stop using BP? Anything else I can use on this area, any suggestions at all?

I really don't like walking away with what looks like a yeast infection on my face!

you're at a point where the BP will probably make it worse. despite actually helping with inflammation, BP also irritates the skin. i would put an anti-inflammatory topical on your skin. don't wash it with any sort of soap, and don't scrub it at all. you should just let water run over it and maybe very lightly dab at it to clean it.

Thanks, last night I went just with a good organic moisturizer and no BP and it already looks noticeably better. I appreciate the suggestions!

It's still REALLY red though, any suggestions on anything I can do to reduce redness. All I really have to put on it is this:

For how much I paid for it my skin should look damn perfect!

No BP, just cleanser and moisturizer, looking much better. At this point I think I'll just stick to these two products as my skin seems to be reacting quite well!

Let it heal by itself, dont let the sun hit it and don't shave until is all clear and the scabs fall off by ITSELF.

Just wanted to update that its getting better and better. Thanks for all the advice. I have been using a gentle all natural probiotic cleanser along with a organic moisturizer, stopped using BP, and have started eating a much better diet. My face is finally showing daily positive results.

I'm so convinced that diet is extremely crucial and all these harsh chemicals are not good for our face. Use the quality long term fix, not the cheap short term fix!
