Hi everyone,
This has been bringing me down for quite a few years now. I'm a 25-year-old Asian guy who suffered from acne in my youth until now. The acne wasn't as predominant as when I was young, but I still get 3-4 adult zits a month now.
The main issue of concern right now is the appearance of my skin post-acne: my skin (especially on my nose and cheeks) is bumpy and looks like orange peel, and it's a major insecurity. Especially when I get oily during humid summer days:
Does anybody have any tips on how to get these fixed? Microdermabrasion? Chemical peels? DIY treatments? I tried the whole baking soda bit for exfoliation, but it only made my skin itchy and bumpier.
My regimen is a daily facial wash (bodyshop's tea tree wash, which is the only thing that has successfully sort of controlled bigger outbreaks from happening) and a twice a week scrub (st. ive's for acne prone skin)
Thanks for hearing me out!
I would try a facial mask, followed up with some good natural moisturizer.
Queen Helene Mint Julip Masque is really good, it's like 3 dollars. It clears up inflammation (for me) and makes pores look smaller. You could also try an egg white mask, that stuff is awesome. ![]()
But remember to moisturize after.. masks can be drying. Try jojoba, coconut, or olive oil for a natural approach!
Your skin looks really good to me though. Don't be so hard on yourself!
