I'm 15 and started accutane about 3 weeks ago. I think I am on day 23 and I am taking 20mg per day ( two pills of 10mg/day ).

The first week and going on to the second one, I was breaking out a lot in my problematic areas. My forehead got worse and so did my cheeks and chin. I only saw things calming down a few days ago and my bigger breakouts are all gone i believe, I only have tiny little pimples on the side of one of my cheeks and around my hairline ( probably from my hair products ).

I did notice, however, that blackheads and whiteheads are problem I now have (which I did not before). I guess the accutaneis pulling all the dirst out and so the blackheads came out too? I don't know. I will keep you updated.

Side effects:

Within a week: -Breakouts.
-Back pain, lots and lots of back pain!
-Dry lips ( right from the start ).

Within two weeks: No new side effects.

Within three weeks: My oily cheeks and t-zone ( where I get acne ) are not even oily anymore and the parts that were dry before, are getting even dryer ( even though I use the LaRoche Posay Ulta Toleriane moisturizer as well as the Clinique water-gel moisturizer ).
