Everyone. Anyone who reads this. I'm a 20 year old Asian female, 47 kg, mild acne mostly but with some annoying cysts. I started a kind of bizarre dose of accutane on April 13th. I'm on 60 mg for 1 month, then 40mg for 3 months. My derm is convinced Asians react faster or something. Cummulative dosage comes to 5400. Are decreasing doses common?
On Day 8, I've had a couple of whiteheads, and a cyst I'm not really sure is because of accutane. Terrified of the impending breakouts.
day 14: Still no major break outs. Only one new whitehead and the cyst that's healing. Got one dry patch on my chin, and lips are drier than usual. I'm using Clinique dramatically different moisturizer for my face and Vaseline Aloe Vera Moisturizer for body. I had a headache but I'm not sure if it was due to Accutane or lack of sleep. No side affects aside from that. Freaking out a little because nothing seems to be happening besides the dryness. Not getting clearer or worse
